7 Productivity tools that I can't live without (5+ Bonus)

Hey everyone, your boy Nomadev is back with another post! Today, I’m excited to share some super cool AI tools that I use every day. These tools have become a key part of my routine, helping me stay organized, efficient, and get more done.

In today’s fast-paced world, we all want to be more productive and efficient. With AI, there are tons of tools that help us manage our tasks, simplify our work, and save time. Here are 7 Productivity tools that I can't live without, and they help me get through my day smoothly (and stick around for some bonus tools at the end—think of them as little productivity treats! 🧁)

1. Arc Browser

Image description

Arc Browser is a game-changer for anyone who spends a lot of time online. This browser offers a vertical sidebar for bookmarks and tabs, making organization a breeze. With AI features like tab sorting and split view, managing your workspace has never been easier. Arc also integrates with Perplexity, an AI-powered search engine that provides quick, summarized answers to your queries, enhancing your browsing experience.

2. Perplexity

Image description

Perplexity is my go-to search engine, integrated directly into Arc Browser. It uses AI to fetch and condense information from the web, presenting it in a clean, ad-free interface. This tool significantly cuts down on the time spent sifting through search results, making it an essential part of my productivity toolkit.

3. Notion

Image description

Notion serves as my central hub for all information storage and content creation. It's incredibly versatile, allowing me to organize notes, manage projects, and even collaborate with others. With AI features embedded throughout, Notion helps streamline my workflow, whether I'm drafting scripts, saving research, or brainstorming ideas.

4. Missive

For email management, Missive is my AI-powered assistant. It integrates with OpenAI to draft and reply to emails, fix grammar, and translate messages. The collaboration features make it easy to work with my team on important emails, helping us stay organized and efficient.

5. Canva

Image description

Canva is an incredible time-saver for creating graphics, presentations, and marketing materials. With its user-friendly interface and AI features like Magic Eraser and Magic Edit, Canva allows me to produce professional-quality designs quickly and easily, without needing extensive graphic design skills. Even the poster of this post is made on Canva itself xD.

6. Decktopus

Image description

Decktopus is a powerful AI tool for creating presentations quickly and easily. It helps you design visually appealing slides with minimal effort, thanks to its AI-driven templates and design suggestions. Whether you need a professional presentation for work or a simple slideshow for a personal project, Decktopus makes the process seamless and efficient.

7. ChatGPT

Image description

GPT-4o is my copilot in everything I do. I remember my card got blocked for 2-3 days, stopping the autopayment for GPT-4, and I seriously felt like I was suffocating 🤣. It was a rough few days without it! I use GPT-4 daily to bounce ideas off, get critiques, and handle the R&D part of my work, making everything at least 5 times faster.

Even when the suggestions aren’t perfect, they often spark new ideas and help me think outside the box. Plus, GPT-4 is fantastic for drafting emails, creating outlines, and so much more.

Bonus Tools

While the above tools are my daily go-tos, here are five additional AI tools that are incredibly useful for specific tasks:

8. Forms.app:

Easily create forms, surveys, and quizzes with AI-generated templates.

9. Otter:

An AI meeting assistant that records and transcribes meetings, making it easy to review and search through notes.

10. Humata:

Simplifies the process of reading and extracting information from complex documents.

11 Recast:

Converts online articles into audio summaries, making it easy to consume content on the go.

12. Gamma:

An AI tool for designing presentations, documents, and web pages quickly and efficiently.

These tools have significantly boosted my productivity, and I highly recommend giving them a try. Whether you're looking to streamline your workflow, manage your communications, or create stunning visuals, there's an AI tool out there to help you achieve your goals.

And that's a wrap on my must-have AI productivity tools! 🎉 These tools have seriously changed the way I work, helping me stay organized, creative, and efficient every single day. Whether you're managing emails, designing presentations, or brainstorming ideas, there's something here for everyone.

So, give them a try and see how they can fit into your routine! I’m always on the lookout for new tools to level up my productivity, so if you have any favorites, feel free to drop them in the comments below.

Until next time, keep grinding, stay productive, and remember: work smarter, not harder! 💪

Thank you for the list! I agree, Canva and Notion have been super useful - I remember using Canva a lot in high school and undergrad when creating posters, presentations, infographics etc. It's super an easy to use tool and it's only improved with more features since then.

Notion is also 100% my second 🧠, before using it I'm not sure how I remained productive honestly. I have different pages for my workout routine, budget planner, study resources for data structures and algorithms, course notes, etc. I highly recommend others to give it a try too :)

Thanks for sharing the list, Nomadev!

I can't live without Canva. Super easy to use, whether you're trying to put together a blog cover image, edit a video, so on & so forth. So far, i haven't come across a situation where i couldn't do something that i wanted to, using Canva. UX is 9.5/10 in my opinion (there's always room for improvement).

Haven't used the magic edit & eraser features yet. But i'm glad to see that it's been useful to you - hopefully i'll also get some value out of it.

Thank you for the list. Dectopus is a fantastic discovery! Another thing I believe developers could benefit from to boost their productivity are various toolsets, such as webacus.dev. You can use AI to create your own little tools :-)

Great list. Although I would never use AI to write email replies haha.
