thepracticaldev profile image dev.to staff ・2 min read

This is our monthly thread where community members share openings at their companies.

Here a few ground rules:

  • Please only post if you are personally part of the hiring company (no recruiting firms)
  • Please provide brief background on what your company does
  • Only one post per company (you can list multiple openings in the post)

Consider using this template:

Company Name | Job Title | Location | Remote or Onsite | (optional) Salary Range | Sponsor visa?

About the company — background, size, etc (1-3 sentences)

About the role(s) — languages, requirements, etc (1-3 sentences)

Do you sponsor visas?

How to Apply — email or application link

We also wanted to share some quick careers-related notes from our fantastic Sustaining Sponsors.

DEV is hiring summer interns to focus on primarily non-technical tasks (business development, growth, operations). This position is paid and remote friendly. Full information on the job listing: jobs.dev.to/o/biz-dev-growth-intern

Come work with us, and please spread the word! :)

This is a good role to learn a lot about the tech industry very fast.

I am personally tempted. Not kidding (not a money thing, it will be interesting). If you are young, it is a very good way to level up. I'd do this before a startup/large corp.

Well positioned, chill tech startups, with good growth & support are not that common. Loads of contacts (you will be chatting to unexpected people/companies). Remote is a bonus (but good to go in if possible in this case).

"I was employee 16" will be insufferable.

If you plan to run your own thing one day, apply.

This sounds like an incredible opportunity! I am not eligible for it since I already work full-time, but do let me know if any volunteering opportunities come up! Would love to learn the non-technical tasks involved in building a community.

Curious, does the OPT get the 24 month extension for tech journalism/digital media?

Pivotal doesn't really hire remote (due to how central pair programming is to the company culture), but I do believe they'll sponsor visas for the right applicants.

Micro is the simplest the way to build microservices. We're a super early stage startup building the founding team in London based on 4 years of success with the open source project github.com/micro. We're a team of 2-3 growing to 5-6 by the end of the year.

Senior Software Engineer - We're looking for someone with a background in open source, distributed systems and microservices who wants to come build a micro services network with us.

Fullstack Engineer - If you've got react, graphql and Go skills we need you. We're looking for someone to own the frontend development and drive that through to success with apis and backend systems where needed.

Both roles will include building microservices as well so you should really be interested in building higher level utility services.
