Transparency and challenges to myself

I have aptitude but lack focus. Even when trying to type this up I'm bouncing around to different ideas and topics. I am watching the same course video over and over again while thinking about other topics. Specifically, a video I listened to earlier today about Harvard students consuming content then reiterating it on paper. While writing it on paper, they can now see the shortcomings of what they learned and revise it. A second layer would be peer review. This challenges the ideas written out and patches up different aspects not yet thought about and allows for you to learn more.

While writing this out, this makes me want to become a writer(maybe not so much a writer), but to become a writer, I need to read more. What a cycle of ADHD. I wanted to get an e-ink tablet.

Harvard study concepts - Not quite sure where these are sourced from but I want to validate it for myself

  1. Write what you have learned in your own words by actively recalling it.
  2. Create an environment that encourages learning together and exchanging ideas
  3. Give yourself time to connect the dots between materials you are learning.
  4. Study twice- first learn the material and then teach or explain it to someone.
  5. Get your hands dirty - apply the material you have learned in a real world situation.
  6. Speak up more often, voice your thoughts even if they come out messy.
