Hey y'all! This is where I plan on sharing my learning journey as I venture into what's basically a second career (this makes me sound a lot older than I really am) as a software engineer. Yeah, learning journey, it sounds cliché but I actually really need a place to document my thoughts, processes, struggles, victories, crazy ideas and hopefully progress. I know many are on the same trajectory so maybe someone at some time will learn something from this all, or at least get a good laugh out of it.
Saving all the crazy stories for later, it more or less boils down to this: European who used to be rootless but found fertile soil in Texas; Proud husband and father of a little girl; Chemical engineer; Recent software engineering bootcamp grad starting his fresh career in software.
I'm not sure either but I've always kinda wanted to have a 'blog' and I sure like this place a lot better than Medium. I plan on sharing content on technologies that I learn, the story of my first contributions to open source projects, what I learnt so far starting to write code from zero in my late twenties when Zuck was already filthy rich, the ups and downs of finding my first job as a real software engineer, starry eyed philosophy on life, science, tech, money and the future of the human race.
Anyways, I'm TJ and I'm new here. Nice to meet you.
