I’ve been exploring a lot of options lately, and I’ve come to a point where I’ve accepted that I’m starting from zero financially. But honestly, that’s not the main problem anymore. I’ve managed to find a low-paying job, which should at least help me support myself while I work towards something bigger.
I also came across RunPod, and I’m considering renting a GPU setup there. The plan is to use an NVIDIA RTX 5090 with around 96GB VRAM, 128GB RAM, and 16 vCPUs. Storage is another factor I’m thinking about—I’m planning for around 300GB, which will persist unless I fully terminate the pod.
The GPU would cost about $1.5 per hour, and I’m planning to use it for around 4 hours a day (or possibly less, depending on how long tasks actually take based on what I’ve seen in tutorials).
That said, I feel like I might still be missing something or overlooking important details. I’d really appreciate any advice, suggestions, or insights before I fully commit to this approach.
Thank you.
