AI Scales What You Feed It: Building Expert Judgment into SEO & AEO Agents

If you're building an SEO or AEO agent, the model matters less than what you feed it.

Many agents are set up with scraped tips, threads and trend posts. The result behaves like a fast, confident amateur: it ships pages quickly, but nobody decided what deserved to exist.

Four things to encode before the agent writes anything:

  1. Decision hierarchy: what gets built and what doesn't.
  2. Content sequencing: what comes first and what follows.
  3. Constraints: what the agent is never allowed to do.
  4. Quality control: what every page must pass before it goes live.

Volume was never the hard part of SEO. Pages must be structured, useful and optimized for Google rankings, Google AI Overviews, and answers in ChatGPT and Gemini (GEO/AEO), or Google treats the output as noise. Content spinning worked the same way fifteen years ago, only slower.

AI scales the expertise you build into it. Nothing more.

I'm Yoav Bernstein, an SEO and GEO/AEO consultant (18 years) doing Sales-Driven SEO for B2B, SaaS, cybersecurity and eCommerce companies: ybmarketing.net.

What expert judgment have you built into your agents?
