What if you woke up today, walked outside, and realized... Browsers don't exist in real life? π±
Think about it. In the digital world, we get spoiled. You want to buy a coffee or check the weather? You open Chrome, type a URL, and BOOMβa pretty UI with nice CSS appears.
But what if real life worked strictly via CLI (Command Line Interface) with zero GUI?
Here is what our daily lives would actually look like:
π¬ 1. Shopping at "Physical Amazon"
Without a browser, going shopping would be an absolute nightmare:
- You walk up to a grocery store, but there are no windows, doors, or display cases. Just a giant black wall.
- A guy in a black hoodie steps out and says: "Please input your request via terminal."
- You have to literally speak raw HTTP requests out loud to the cashier:
>
GET /store/products/cappuccino HTTP/1.1>Host: coffee-shop.com>Authorization: Bearer my_wallet_token - If you make a tiny typo or stutter, the barista just stares at you in complete silence for 30 seconds, then yells: "400 Bad Request!" and kicks you out of the line. π
π¦ 2. Real-Life Inspect Element
Imagine being on a first date at a restaurant, realizing you dressed terribly, and trying to right-click in thin air to select "Inspect Element" so you can change your shirt's CSS color to #000000.
Or even worse:
- You try to edit your bank account balance using
DOM Manipulation, but the universe throws an unhandled exception and calls the police. - Trying to clear your cache in real life when you meet someone on the street and completely forget their name... π§ β
π 3. Driving Without a UI
- You sit in your car, but there is no steering wheel or pedals. Just a blinking cursor on the windshield:
user@car:~$ - You type:
sudo drive --destination="work" --speed=80 - Terminal responds:
[ERROR] Permission denied. You are not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported. - Now you're late for work because your carβs permissions are messed up, and you have to
chmod 777your entire vehicle just to turn on the AC. π
π©Ί 4. Going to the Doctor (Debugging the Human Body)
Instead of a doctor checking your pulse with a stethoscope, they open a terminal connected to your arm:
bash
$ systemctl status human_body.service
β human_body.service - Human Body Runtime
Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/human_body.service; enabled)
Active: active (running)
Status: "Memory leak detected in stomach (too much coffee)"
Main PID: 404 (Brain)
Tasks: 2 (Heartbeat, Breathing)
