I never lied about my experience, but usually I tell everything I ever done. Even things that might not be relevant, for example, I work as a backend developer with PHP, but I told on my interview that I worked frontend and what frameworks and tools I used, I also told them that at a time I did some chrome plugins, python developement and so on...even that they were interested in backend technologies only, mainly PHP.
