Actually VS Code is a full fledged IDE and not only a text editor πŸ˜… It provides integrated terminal, runner and debugger by default (which you can then customize through plugins for your favorite programming language), task automation and so on and so forth.

During my college days, I used a crack version of ST-2. It changes my life, despite having a heavily customized notepad++ on hand, command pallet was just so good.

When I got my first paycheck, I immediately bought a genuine license, which costed me half of that months salary, but I knew this was for the good.
