Aspiring game developers, what challenges do you anticipate in learning game development?

Well, not about learning game-dev, but one challenge I am facing is figuring out how to implement rooms and tiles.

Gamedev.js Jam 2024 is coming up in a month: itch.io/jam/gamedevjs-2024

You are free to use any game engine or library as long as the build/export is playable in the browser. We recommend using Phaser, Defold, or GDevelop, you might also consider Cocos or 8XR, if you'd like to aim for multiplayer you can check Colyseus or Modd.io, and if you need an extra challenge, you can try the js13kGames-specific size-constraint ones like Kontra, Goodluck, or LittleJS.

Finding time 😂 I really want to do game dev on the side for fun, but I don't have the time right now for it to make it high enough on my priority list 😢
