Based on my experience participating in dev challenges, here are a few key things that worked for me:
Understand the prompt thoroughly – Make sure you grasp the requirements and intent behind the challenge before diving in.
Solve a real-world problem – Your application should aim to address a genuine issue. It doesn’t have to be groundbreaking or have a huge market; what matters is that it provides value.
Focus on user experience – Usability and design play a huge role in making your project stand out. A well-thought-out UX can make a big difference.
Technology & Uniqueness – The tech stack you use and the innovative aspects of your solution can set you apart from the competition.
Think of it as building a product, not just an application. This mindset shift really helped me in past challenges. Hope this helps, and looking forward to the upcoming ones!
