Hello everyone,

I'm thrilled to become a part of the DEV community in my role as a cloud engineer. In my day-to-day work, I primarily work with AWS CDK , TypeScript and Python, focusing on creating robust landing zone solutions for my company. These languages have been instrumental in building secure and scalable cloud environments.

Outside of my professional responsibilities, I have a passion for open-source projects. I find it incredibly rewarding to contribute my skills and knowledge to collaborative initiatives in my free time. It's a way for me to give back to the community and learn from fellow developers.

If you share a similar interest in cloud engineering, TypeScript, Python, or open source, I would be delighted to collaborate or simply connect with you. You can reach out to me on my GitHub profile, Feel free to explore my projects and drop me a message; I'm always open to new ideas and discussions.

I'm genuinely looking forward to engaging with this amazing community, sharing insights, and learning from all the talented individuals here. Let's make some great things happen together! 🎉

Best regards,
Sajeed

Hello everyone!

I'm absolutely thrilled to be a part of this awesome community as a web developer. Let's talk about my web development journey for a sec—I'm head over heels in love with everything JavaScript has to offer, and for some peculiar reason, I've ended up knee-deep in PHP projects (thanks to my previous manager, who conveniently left that part out). 🙃

Whenever I manage to snag some free time, you can bet your bottom dollar that I'm diving into new tricks and tips to up my game. And here's a little secret: I've got a soft spot for building Node.js applications on AWS. It's like my tech crush! 🚀 I'm so passionate about it that I've even got a blog where I spill the beans on all things Node.js and AWS. You can check it out at joelalexandrekhang.com/ or peek at my personal projects over on my trusty GitHub.

Now, I'm seriously stoked to engage with all you cool cats and can't wait to share and learn together!

Cheers,
Joel Alexandre Khang 🚀

Hello. I'm new to programming and development but have aspirations of being a full stack developer. I've studied some python when I dabbled in data science. Currently I'm overthinking the ideal monitor setup for coding. Some people just use their laptops with no external displays. Any of you do that? Any tips help.

Thanks,
Jordan

Hello Jordan, Nice to meet you! I use my laptop ordinarily like that but I hope and plan to get a monitor setup for coding. Setting up a monitor for coding is amazing. If you plan on doing it, it is awesome. I guess people post about it on Twitter (X) and on YouTube.

Hi Emmanuel, thanks for writing and for your suggestion. I'm trying to sort through all the opinions about it. I read part of an article that posited that we can only focus on a small amount of code anyway so it doesn't actually increase productivity per se. I'm going to keep reading before I invest in a monitor. Also it would allow for a more portable work space which of course has its pros and cons as well.

Okay, your point makes sense. I can't say of it advantages or disadvantages since I don't have one yet but I will definitely like to know what you decided on and the pros and cons with your final decision
