Hi, I am a computer scientist by degree since 2003 but computer geek since commodore64/128 and BASIC! I enjoy programming but am rusty as I also love graphic art and design. This led to web development since the the dawn of the Internet with HTML 1, 2. Lol I sound old but I'm not as old as you may expect.
I'm here to refresh my skills and learn things I missed while doing graphic design and leaning away from backend development of web pages and wish to become a fullstack developer.
But with AI and all else developing IRL, I can't help but be interested in a lot of different things. I hope this community has others like me and also those that can inspire and help me become someone who can excel in getting my dream job.
I also love music, have been a DJ of electronic (naturally) music and have developed OC using my computer and put out a CD. Everything ties together with computers for me!

What's up? I'm an intermediate-level Developer with about 2 years of professional experience under my belt. My expertise lies mostly in working with the Front End but as of late, I've been building an E-commerce website where I'm building the entire architecture up from scratch! This includes setting up a Digital Ocean Droplet(Server) and connecting it to an existing subdomain, using SSH to remotely manage this server, and writing an Express API to delegate information transfer between a MongoDB Database and a React/Typescript Frontend.
If this sounds like a lot, that's because it is 🤣. My goal is to push beyond my comfort zone and prove my abilities as a Developer. While I'm not working professionally right now (I was laid off in May, 2023) I'm still charging full steam ahead and actively seeking opportunities.
I'm excited to join the community and learn from all the other badass Engineers posting content here. If you're feelin' froggy, add me here or on Linkedin. I look forward to connecting and collaborating!
