Hey everyone! 👋
I’m Craig (from Marowa Labs). I’m a bioinformatics student and developer building WorkContext - an open-source, AI-powered productivity workspace built with Next.js 16, TypeScript, Express, Prisma, and PostgreSQL.
I joined DEV to connect with other builders, share what I'm learning around real-time collaboration (Yjs/CRDTs) and local/BYOK AI models, and collaborate with folks interested in open source.
Excited to be here and check out what everyone else is building! 🚀
Hey Craig! Welcome to dev.to and hope you are well. How did you hear about dev.to and is bioinformatics harder than CS in your opinion?
Hey Francis! Thanks for the warm welcome. I actually found out about dev.to through a Google search while looking for programming tutorials. Personally, I do think bioinformatics can be harder than pure CS. You have to master data structures and algorithms, but also deeply understand complex biological systems and genetics at the same time. It feels like balancing two major degrees!
Welcome here Craig!

I love using Prisma ORM for my projects! 💜
Thanks, Thomas! That is a stellar stack. I'm a huge fan of Prisma and Next.js myself for building fast applications. What kind of projects are you working on with Prisma lately?
I use Prisma a lot for a Discord bot with settings per server for example

Hi DEV community! 👋
I’m Ikrame! I work across both Frontend and Backend, enjoying building UI component systems as much as working with APIs and databases.
