Hey all, Arman here, Applied AI and Java backend engineer in Oracle's AI pioneers team. Joined this dev community to learn and share latest technical stuff. I'd love to see how other folks are approaching the probelms in this era of AI and would love to share my insights as well.
Good to be here. Say hi if you're into distributed systems, agentic AI or just enjoy a solid production war story👋🏻

Hi everyone!
I'm Luiz, from Brazil. I'm switching careers into tech after a background in Biotechnology and a Master's in Chemical Biology, where I spent years analyzing experimental data and documenting complex processes with a lot of rigor.

I'm currently studying Systems Analysis and Development, learning Python, APIs, and databases, and I'm genuinely excited about applying AI tools to real development workflows (I've been using Claude Code to automate parts of my own job search, actually).

Looking forward to learning from this community and sharing what I build along the way. Happy to connect with anyone else who's also transitioning into dev from a different field!

Hey Luiz — I came into dev from marketing, so I know that jump well. The
"documenting things with rigor" habit helps way more than people expect.

Curious what you automated in the job search with Claude Code?

Hey everyone!
Glad to be here.
I'm a backend developer who enjoys building things with Java and Spring Boot, but lately I've been diving deeper into mathematical optimization and how it connects with software engineering.

I'm especially interested in the space where AI, optimization, and backend systems meet.
Figuring out not just how to predict things, but how to make better decisions.

Excited to learn from this community, share some ideas, and meet other developers along the way.

Happy Coding!

Hi, I'm Ryan. I've worked in software for 30 years, split between development and architect type work. I've been writing about AI safety, security and economics on my Substack for about a year now. Heard about this and thought this would be a good place to extend that conversation. I expect I'll cross-post here when I've got something I think is of interest.

I'm Oleksandr — a solo founder building CalculatorAI: calculators, trackers and
document generators under one account, with an AI layer across them. About a
year in, everything designed, built and shipped by one person.

Came from marketing, so I learned to code because I wanted to ship the thing
rather than brief someone else to. Here mostly for Next.js performance, SEO at
scale, and the surprising ways a hosting bill grows.

Happy to be around!

Hi everyone, Patrick here from Frankfurt, Germany.

I work at xhub.io, where we build custom software plus a few products of our own. Most of my time goes into invoice-api.xhub — an API for European e-invoicing: XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, Peppol. It's a domain nobody picks voluntarily. An EU semantic standard, national formats that all differ just enough to hurt, and a legal deadline pushing everyone at once. Turning that into something you can call in a few lines of code is the actual product.

We also build mobile apps and test them with Maestro, so I'll be lurking in #testing and #mobile a fair bit.

Good to be here 👋
