Follow us @dev.to!
We're so excited for the opportunity to explore Bluesky, the AT Protocol, and all they have to offer. If you're not familiar with this tech yet, I recommend checking out this post by @bekahhw for a good primer:
What is Bluesky Social Network? And why are developers excited about it?

Thank you to DEV Community Member @avetaangel43 for providing us with the invite code to get started, and to @ashleymcnamara for additional support! We couldn't do what we do without the power of community 💙
We don't have any invite codes at this time, but we do want to pay it forward eventually when we can, so stay tuned — but no promises 😉
Have you checked out Bluesky yet? What do you think?
Edited to add: we were able to add our domain to Bluesky with just a few clicks. Nice! We're now @dev.to rather than @thepracticaldev.bsky.social.

I <3 Bluesky and sad to see the @dev.to account hasn't posted for over 6 months :-( Did you give up on it ?
don't have the invite link, or else would love to be on there.
How is this different from Mastodon and other open protocols?
anyone having an invite code to share? would like to check out the protocol.
What about Polywork? Are there any actual successful social platform spaces for devs? I’m genuinely curious
It's looking promising. Things to watch out for: lots of people (bots) are playing the follow to be followed game. Trying to accumulate big number of followers. But with no real or interesting content.
If you follow some of those accounts, you end up with a lot of noise in your feed. So be careful how you curate your following list.
I'm staging.bsky.app/profile/nicolasin...
Can you help me with an invite, I'll be grateful
Looks like you get one invite every two weeks. Unless you are famous, which Im not 😂
Woohoo! Thank you @erinposting for pushing this through!
I haven't, but I'm dubious about it to say the least.
It seems odd to try to develop something like this when they could use or extend existing open protocols. And the people behind it... are not better than Twitter, right? It's Jack Dorsey and I find it difficult to believe this new effort is in good faith given what he's said and done.
When you add in the pitch which plays on disingenuous claims of innovation and artificially scarcity, it feels like a lot of previous commercial ventures which all ended up putting the interests of financial stakeholders before users.
cool 👍. I still waiting for invite code
Nice! Gave a follow. I’m
nickyt.onlineover there.Also, there is a desktop version at staging.bsky.app
It’s a clear Bluesky today!
I am, as the kids say, a desktop girlie 🖥️
