From School Desk to Code Editor β My Journey at 16 π
When I was 14, my world was school, homework, and a bit of mobile gaming.
I never imagined Iβd spend my teenage years building apps and websites that people actually use.
The Start: A Random App Changed Everything
One day, while scrolling through the Play Store, I found an app called Mimo.
It promised I could βLearn coding in minutes a dayβ.
I didnβt even have a laptop back then β I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript entirely on my phone through Mimoβs bite-sized lessons.
Tapping through challenges on a small screen, I felt like I was unlocking a secret language.
The Struggle: Learning Alone
As a 16-year-old, time is always against you. School, exams, and family expectations didnβt leave much space for coding.
I remember hiding in the school library during lunch break, finishing a Mimo challenge while my friends played outside.
Some nights, I stayed up late just to keep my learning streak alive.
The First Project: Turning Lessons into Something Real
After months of learning, I wanted to create something useful for real people.
Thatβs how I started Bizkhata β a simple tool to help small businesses track their sales, purchases, and profits without complicated spreadsheets.
At first, no one came.
But slowly, people tried it.
The first time someone told me βHey, I use Bizkhata for my shop,β I realized the power of building for others.
What I Learned as a Teen Developer
- Start with what you have β Even a phone is enough to begin.
- Consistency beats talent β 10 minutes a day on Mimo added up.
- Real projects teach faster than any tutorial.
- Donβt hide your work β Share it, even if itβs not perfect.
Looking Ahead
Iβm still learning, still building, and still failing sometimes.
But every day I spend on projects like Bizkhata makes me more confident that age is not a limit in tech.
If youβre a young coder reading this β start today.
Your first line of code could lead to something that helps people tomorrow.

Hi! You're doing great. I have doubts about my pet projects even after 10 years of development. Perhaps several my potentially successful projects were never launched.
One thing, fix a link to your app in the post, itβs 404. Del /index.html in the end of it.
Hi Yaroslav! Thank you so much π Itβs really motivating to hear that even experienced developers go through the same doubts β makes me feel less alone on this journey. Iβll definitely fix the link, thanks a lot for pointing it out! π
Who was this..?
That was actually something my best friendβs grandfather told me! π He mentioned he uses Bizkhata for his shop, and it really made my day.
Wow, Amazing
Amazing, i didnt knew that before
βGlad you found it amazing! π Iβm also learning new things while working on this, so it feels great to share and exchange ideas.β
