I Launched My First Startup at 16 — and Nobody Came
On August 1st, 2025, I launched my first real product — Biz Tracker, a stock and profit manager for small businesses. I built it completely solo.
I'm just 16.
A commerce student.
Not a fancy IITian.
Not a tech bro.
Just a teenager with a dream and a browser.
And after working for weeks, I launched.
And guess what?
Nobody came.
📦 What Is Biz Tracker?
Biz Tracker is the first tool in my vision for a startup suite called BizSuit — a set of tools made especially for solo founders, small business owners, and Indian entrepreneurs.
The first tool, Biz Tracker, lets users:
- 📋 Add, edit, and delete stock
- 💸 Automatically calculate profit and loss
- 📊 Show total net profit
- 📁 Export stock data as CSV
- 🎯 Know what’s working and what’s not
I built it for the people who run kirana shops, who sell notebooks in school, who run small online shops with no tech help.
🛠️ I Built It Solo
I didn't have a team.
No funding.
No mentorship.
No college degree.
Just me. My tablet. A bunch of Google searches. And the will to finish it.
Every line of code — backend, frontend, authentication, dashboard logic — I did it myself.
💔 The Launch
I was nervous. I stayed up all night. I polished the site.
And then I launched it on Product Hunt.
I waited. I refreshed. I hoped.
1 visitor. Then nothing.
No signups. No upvotes. No traction.
It hurt more than I expected.
😤 The Truth? I Felt Angry
Not because others didn't come.
But because I wanted it to work so badly.
I thought maybe it wasn't good enough.
Maybe I wasn't good enough.
But later that day, I realized:
This is not the end. It’s the beginning.
🧠 Lessons I Learned
- Building is hard. But shipping is harder.
- Nobody owes you attention. You earn it.
- Your story matters more than your product in the early days.
- Don’t wait for perfection — launch, learn, and repeat.
- If you built something once, you can do it again. Stronger.
📌 What’s Next?
This is just Day 1 of my journey.
I’m not giving up. In fact, I’m already planning:
- A new user flow and mobile-first design
- A blog explaining my “BizSuit” vision
- New tools like invoice generator, payment tracker, and order manager
- More Hindi/Hinglish support for local users
- Talking to real shopkeepers and digital sellers to improve Biz Tracker
And most importantly — telling my story more often.
🙏 How You Can Help
If you’re reading this and relate in any way:
- Try Biz Tracker — it’s 100% free
- Share this story with someone who’s trying to build at a young age
- DM me with feedback or ideas. I’m listening.
- Or just leave a kind comment. I’ll remember it.
📣 To Every Young Founder Out There
If you’ve launched and nobody came — you’re not alone.
If you feel like giving up — don’t.
If you’re afraid you’re too young — you’re not.
You're just early.
And early is where all legends begin.

Yes, I’ve definitely faced a lot of challenges already — building SaaS isn’t easy, but every small win feels worth it. I really appreciate the reminder to enjoy the journey too, not just the destination.
I’ll keep learning, building, and growing — and your message means a lot in this process. Thank you again! 🚀
Your website throws a 404 error for me
Sorry for that , but we change our old link is temporary close , this I new link bizkhata.netlify.app/
And again sorry for that
Respect for putting this out there. Building something from scratch and shipping it is never easy, especially at 16. The Product Hunt launch must have been tough, but your attitude about learning from it is spot on. The first version is always the hardest - keep iterating and talking to those shop owners you mentioned. They'll tell you exactly what needs fixing.
Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement! 🙏
Building and launching at 16 has definitely been a challenge, but also an incredible learning journey. The Product Hunt experience taught me a lot — not just about shipping, but also about listening, iterating, and improving.
I'll definitely keep engaging with shop owners and using their insights to make the product better. Your support truly means a lot — especially coming from Accio & the Alibaba ecosystem. Excited to keep growing from here! 🚀
Prasoon, your growth mindset is exactly what builds remarkable products. At Accio (Alibaba), we've seen how relentless iteration coupled with merchant insights creates real impact. Keep that founder's curiosity alive - we'll be cheering from the sidelines!
Thank you so much! That truly means a lot coming from someone at Accio (Alibaba), where innovation and scale go hand-in-hand. I’m constantly learning and iterating, and insights like yours reinforce the importance of staying close to the users and moving fast with purpose. Appreciate the encouragement — I’ll keep building with curiosity and conviction!
Conversations like this are always so valuable - let's definitely stay in touch!
"Absolutely! I really value thoughtful conversations like this too. Let’s definitely stay connected — looking forward to more insightful exchanges ahead!"
