I graduated from a coding bootcamp and then left the job search afterwards due to feeling overwhelmed. Now I am building myself back and reaching for that first web dev job! I don't know what I will find here but I will keep my eyes open. :)

Hi there 👋 My name's Joshua
I'm looking to build a simple project with Nextjs and Supabase but I don't have deep knowledge using both. So I'm hoping to find great articles and people that can point me in the right direction.
And I'll also write a few posts and share milestones as I progress.
Whatever the tech, the best way is always to read the doc first. Building a project using Nextjs and Supabase is cool, but what they are made for? How do they interact each others? A project is nothing but a tab on github, fill the columns ;-).
"Code has to be bundled using a bundler like webpack and transformed using a compiler like Babel." you will need to learn webpack and babel, why not including them into an npm project? Many steps I guess, good luck, always start understanding the project, then reading the documentation of the imposed tools.

Totally agree! I'm a firm believer that you can learn absolutely anything through YouTube haha.
I've been learning through a workshop called SheCodes and I've also bought some courses on Udemy, as well. I hope you enjoy learning React!
Ooh I've heard good things about Udemy. I might give that a look if I run out of good React content on Youtube. Right now react is coming along pretty smoothly, mostly because I already learned the basics a while back. Do you plan to build a react project that you can show on your portfolio?

I'm Martin, I was a Senior Front End Architect / Manager at one of the world's largest interactive agencies, leading Front End Teams for international accounts. In 2018 I quit and now I'm traveling the world as a professional scuba diver and fully remote Senior Front End Architect / Front End Tech Lead for various international clients.
On dev.to I write mostly about modern Front End Development with react.js and next.js, other topics are design and pure code. I love handcrafted CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. However, a proper framework or library is essential for modern Front End Development.
Currently, I'm publishing the weekly "WebDevDigest: A curated list of the top five web development must-reads from last week" and a library of JavaScript functions in 1 line of code which you can also find on npmjs: onelinecode and GitHub: onelinecode.

Got my first 'cash-for-code' somewhere in the mid 80s, programming calculators for classmates and been earning a living with it ever since. Pascal/C/Clipper/Delphi meant bread, butter and beer in the 90s and been doing C#.NET since '01.
