Hey
I am a niche tech recruiter specialising in web/app developers. I am trying to do recruitment in the right way... i.e. no BS, no false promises, no shady sales techniques, etc. I have a geniune passion for tech and if I'm honest I never cut the mustard to be a developer myself šŖ . I felt recruiting developers would be the next best thing as it keeps me closely connected to the community.
I am based in the UK so I'm sure there are plenty of devs that will share horror stories of working with agencies over here. I am working extremely hard to change this perception... one placement at a time.
Please be gentle with me š¬

Hi all,
I'm intermediate java-knowledge person trying to enhance my skills and stay updated.(I've been working on Java7, yet to work on Java 8)
People say that when you do/work on something rather than keeping on learning you will learn more stuffs and remember what you've learnt and that adds to your profile. Having said that I want to implement something and have started to try so.
I've been learning spring, spring boot, JPA, java design patterns, RESTful web services for quite sometime and basics in Angular.
Can you please share an idea to start a project involving these which I've learning so far. And also like mentoring, would be great! Looking forward for such stuffs :) Love learning with fun and be ambitious.
Hi DEV Community!
Jon here, I was a full-stack developer working with #AWS, Java and JavaScript-based technologies before I co-founded Tutorials Dojo - an online learning portal the provides tutorials and exam prep materials for AWS and other cloud computing certifications.
Nowadays, I am doing content creation and support for our clients but I set aside time to develop stuff -- my latest project is the Tutorials Dojo portal: portal.tutorialsdojo.com and I'm working on some hybrid mobile apps as of the moment.
I'm also an active contributor to the official AWS documentation. Here are some approved pull-requests that I made lately:
github.com/awsdocs/amazon-ec2-user...
github.com/awsdocs/aws-snowball-de...
github.com/awsdocs/amazon-route53-...
That'll be all about me. Looking forward to be part of this community!

Hi everyone, I am Christian and I am a full-time developer located in good old Germany š
My current work focus lies on low-code development, but I am also hungry for new ideas regarding Java (mainly Spring, Spring Boot etc.) and rapid web development with new and newest frameworks (at the moment I am amazed by Next.js and the JAMStack š).
I would love to get in touch with other (web-)developers and read more about how to run the products of our sweat and tears with as low effort as possible, for I am not an ops-guy at all... š Other interests: Everything related to ML and data analysis š¤
I hope we will have a good time together and maybe there might start one or another nice idea we can share and develop here āØ

Hey JosƩ, welcome to DEV!
Yello! I'm a high school junior interested in cybersecurity, and web dev; I'm taking major steps in understanding these concepts right now from the limited time I have in school. Right now, I'm a teacher assistant in helping kids in my high school getting their foot in the world of computer science; whether it is creating simple android applications, to dipping in on the concepts of basic data science.
I've stumbled upon many of the articles found in DEV and realized how helpful they are to me and the kids I was helping. So, I thought, why not join in the fun and be part of a community!
I hope I can stick around for many zillion years (if that's possible š).
Hi everyone,

Hi everyone, I'm trying to limit my news-feeds and other distractions but I don't want to miss out on dev news altogether so, I'm trying out dev.to as a sort of a weekly or monthly digest. Maybe I will also post a few things if I feel people would benefit from that.
Hey, I'm Calvin, I heard about this site from a coworker and I'm really excited to get to know everyone. I've really grown to love the DEV community in the last few months from reading articles to chatting with other individuals facing similar problems as myself; I really look forward to learning from and helping everyone here : )
Thanks!
HI! I just found dev.to today. I worked for a Fortune 500 conglomerate for over 30 years developing software and was laid off last year. I did all sorts of development - but little web or cloud - so I am having a great time learning LOTs about these things as I search for my next opportunity. At my old job most things were proprietary and open source / sharing was not encouraged until recently. I am looking forward to posting more and lurking less.
Have a great day and stay safe.
Hi, I'm Kacper, SAP Commerce Cloud Development Consultant. I've got here randomly by finding post in search results in google. I'm learning mainly java and operations stuff and I have to finally learn some front framework.
A first constructive comment: I noticed the "We're happy you're here" animation, the text is spinning clockwise and would be easier to read if it were spinning counter-clockwise. Why? Clockwise spinning makes it "run away" from my reading which is also left to right. So I have to wait a turn to read a bit more, then repeat. Counter-clockwise would make it "run towards" my reading direction.
Hello Everyone,
I am new here, hoping to learn and interact with you all.
Hi Wanessa, feel free to ask questions here on DEV. It's a very friendly community.
Hi guys, I'm a MERN stack developer, joined here to give and take help and support.
