An app to generate stupid app ideas.
I think I am taking this comment too seriously. To my humble understanding, you just gave a recursive answer. Meanwhile, the author is trying to solve iteration n, and you just wrote the iteration n+1. Additionally, solving that iteration would introduce another level of complexity to the equation since the formula for generating stupid ideas is unknown, probably meant by "stupid," "random" ideas. And that would be easier. Do you know what I mean?

Great question. Ok. Let's say that, hypothetically, and for the sake of the argument that the previous comment gives an additional iteration to reach the base case, which leads to the function being called recursively n+1 times before reaching its base case, which is, again hypothetically, a big fat O(n + 1), that is presumably often called a linear runtime function. And that, in its turn, will lead us to the following formula:
Let's assume now that, theoretically, this equation can dramatically help us understand how to calculate any time complexity, which begs the question: what would that even mean? Now let's state that this equation is valid for the sake of the argument, and let's run quantum experimentation on that basis. Based on SchrΓΆdinger's dog, which is a thought experiment that illustrates a paradox of quantum entanglement. And suppose you are not aware of that thought experiment. In that case, a hypothetical dog may be considered simultaneously both exist and not exist due to its fate being linked to a random subatomic event that may or may not occur. And after a relatively short amount of time, you would manage to figure out the time complexity of that equation. After running that experiment, I think you would agree with me.

An app where you have to guess a date, since 1/1/1970... any date. Then give tips, like "Na, 2 generations of camels have died between your choice and the correct guess"...
Quite stupid though!!! I guess it would be a really hard little game...
A spin on your idea: wikipedia-based guessing game. You still have to guess the date of an event, and the tips tell you other facts like "[another event] happened between your guess and the date" and if you run out of events, you can default to more general tips like you mentioned. Not bad, and educational!

Well maybe some variant of mastermind game?
An app where you can connect to a blockchain and buy a thing that merely points to some totally inane artwork, giving you some tenuous claim of 'ownership' of it, even though said artwork is freely copyable by anyone. Also make it so that buying said item confers no copyright ownership of the original artwork whatsoever.

What about some sort of a "decentralised" ledger that we can throw all sorts of marketing terms at and claim it solves all sorts of real world problems when in fact it really just complicates them and makes everything so much more fragile and susceptible to bad actors.

An app that automatically comments your code that only says exactly what's going on. Now you have all the job security of code only you understand while being able to preach about how code should never be considered self-documenting.

A clock that shows different marvel superhero characters on every 15 minutes... when you click on the clock it shows an multi step form to reserve an ticket for the next mcu movie premiere but the form step never end and it keep asking you ton of useless questions about you interests and history with marvel comics, cartoons, movies and TV shows from what is your favorite movie to what is your favorite character in that movie and who would you cast to play this role and so msny other pointless questions maybe add a poll as well for fun π
