Good day to you all!
Who wants to be a top writer on DEV?
I've been a part of the DEV community for more than two years now, and I've seen so many people write really high-quality posts here. However, I've also known hundreds of people who often talk about wanting to start but never know where to. So many folks out there really want to start blogging and sharing their knowledge but get stuck on the first step.
So I want to talk about the authorship program we started a few months ago.
I've always felt that good mentorship can really take a person's skills to the next level. I'm grateful to the people who've mentored me over the years, and I always want to give back by mentoring others. That is why we started this authorship program, and I am so happy to say that we got a lot of applications.
There was a lot of back-and-forth with the new writers, and Utkarsh from my team helped them improve their ideas, enhance their writing, and edit their drafts. The result was that we were able to publish some really good blog posts over the last few months, both on our DEV publication and Medium publication. These two are among my favorites:

We were so happy with the response we got from the authorship program that we wanted to show our gratitude to the authors. I decided to get some swag for everyone: some really cool stickers and stuff that we knew they'd appreciate. We also bought some sheets of this special paper that you can tear up and sow into the ground to make plants sprout. It seemed like a really nice concept to us, so we decided to send everyone thank-you letters on those sheets.
I'm really glad everyone liked it! Here are some photos from the folks:
Here's to all of you who made this possible! π₯π₯³
We have lots of new faces in our author team now. We're so excited to help them all share more of their writing with the world. And our doors are always open to aspiring writers!
If you're interested in writing under our publications, feel free to sign up here!
Cheers,
Sarthak
P.S. We just started LastMocha.com!
