Startup Project

Request For Help With Project.

I am JoJo Nssien, First year student of the University of Uyo, Nigeria.

I am working on a project I call it Project T.A.P.E

Technology Against Pandemics and Epidemics

As we all know the crisis of Corona Virus pandemic in the world and the number of death it has caused technology is being implemented in the fight against this dreaded disease and one of such ways to fight it is the ability to trace and track potential victims.

For this

I am trying to build a model software for a Thermal Imagining Camera inbuilt in ATM Machines to monitor abnormal temperature rate above normal that could be symptoms of the Corona Virus infection inbuilt with a software that will work with the ATM card reader. The Card reader captures the account information stored on the magnetic stripe on the back of an ATM/debit or credit card. The host processor uses this information to route the transaction to the cardholder's bank.

This software when the Thermal Imagining Camera identifies a person with High Temperature above normal will automatically get the details of the account from the card reader such as Name, Address, Age and Contacts and this details will be transferred to appropriate authorities where the could ready to track the person and check if he or she test positive to the corona virus. If this being true the software will also have a database that will save all the data of persons that made transaction, the date and time when transaction occurs, so if a person is tested to the virus it could be tracked on those that where on the ATM queue with him or her at the day and time range. This will go a long way to save Health Workers from direct contact with an unknown infected person.

To achieve this some of this questions have been asked:.

1) Access to bank data is crucial, how will we secure this data?

Ans: I was thinking of leveraging the power of blockchain in the software Blockchain platform ensures that your data is encrypted, which means that modification in data is a difficult task. You can also save a cryptographic signature of a document or file on a Blockchain. This would give users a way to ensure a file is un-tampered, without needing to save the entire file on the Blockchain

2) Hats and Headwears could be an obstruction to the thermal imagining camera, how will this be approached?

Ans: If we can show to the govt/ the world that this is the way forward in battling epidemic then the could possibly be a law to banned wearing of hats at the ATM point
And other questions that aren't listed here

For this project to be a success I need help building a solid team.
And I think this is the team

»» One with business acumen

»» One with hardware skills to build the device

»» Software and data science skills

»» Blockchain developer and a cybersecurity expert

Anyone with the above skillet that is interested in this project should please drop a comment below or contact me via whatsapp: +2348134617507

I am a huge blockchain evangelist and can certainly see the benefits of using one in various ways pertaining to the pandemic. A couple of questions, if you don't mind? How do you protect the users data as well as maintain their privacy and security? Who gives the authority from the ATM to send the users health information? I can see the benefit of having such a system without accessing information on every door, if need be. If you go to a restaurant, for example, a camera could scan everyone's temp before they enter the building, which would determine whether they gain access, etc. No personal information would be accessed and the person's data would never be compromised.
