What you learning about this weekend?

Hey folk! πŸ‘‹

What ya learning on this weekend?

Whether you're sharpening your JS skills, making PRs to your OSS repo of choice πŸ˜‰, sprucing up your portfolio, or writing a new post here on DEV, we'd like to hear about it.

Have a good weekend and don't work too hard!

Person reading a book... the book moves out of the way and the person has a really weird-looking head made out of paper mache

I'm reading a few books about domain-driven design. It's going to take a lot of time to understand what it all means.

Currently learning how to setup a Cisco 3570x switch, along with going through the Odin Project to regain web development fundamentals to focus on learning as a hobby, and finishing my career roadmap to Cloud Security!

I'm going to be tinkering around with Golang, HTMX, and MongoDB. Might mess around with web sockets and stuff and markdown parsing. I just got the project started and I'm going to see where my interests take me!

I’m still stuck on XMR. And find myself in the rabbit hole....looking at promises and async and await and now fetch not so much for axios for now since I cannot NMP. And then there is REST APIs and I think that is how I started. I truly don’t remember how I got here... it’s been one hell of a whirlwind...lol
I’ll never forget it!!

But it’s been one thing after another and I’ve learned a lot this could be week 3 or two I think. I was so sick the last week. This week. I’m reeling and I can focus at least. So I’m back at it.
The biggest part is memorization -I’m here and there because the second part is application and that comes with comprehension. And I lack here and there.
Some tutorials are too much and some are too little.
But I’m a sucker for pain. Let’s get it.

Just finished writing an interesting and very informative blog post on APIs and the fetch API.

Trying to figure out the Replit. And Replit.nix I need to create for codet5+ by sales force now that git has taken the Replit’s out I realize I’m lost with no clue where to begin I’ve tried the tutorial but I’ve been learning best by having an answer and working backwards just how I learn any ideas!

figuring out details of a pub/sub pattern to implement in BitBurner! choreographed vs orchestrated, events vs commands...i feel like a little of everything is somehow acceptable which is just making things more difficult the more i learn! Think i need to just splash together an mvp and see what happens...
