Today, I took a break from all the coding stuff and watched this video on how to improve your LinkedIn for software developers
Here is what I learned about LinkedIn
- LinkedIn should be a summary of your resume
- I need a good headshot
- Drop generic terms like "software developer" and use tech terminology like "React" "Bootstrap" etc
- Bio should be short
- Feature section is essential!
- Everything I've done should go here
- Keep strengths on LinkedIn
- Show quantitative improvements
- Job description is what I achieved not what I did
- Skills and endorsements are not that important
- Certifications should not be the focus
- Recommendations are powerful.
