Congrats to the Frontend Challenge: December Edition Winners!

The wait is over! We are excited to announce the winners of the Frontend Challenge: December Edition.

Reviewing submissions for this challenge was an absolute delight filled with festive spirit and winter wonder. We loved the breadth of classic and modern interpretations participants took with both the CSS Art and landing page mark up. As with every challenge, we were impressed by the community’s creativity and technical skill.

We hope you enjoyed working on your submission and are proud of what you accomplish, regardless of whether or not you get the crown.

Without further ado, our winners.

Congratulations To…

CSS Art: December

@aslanreza captures the calm and cozy essence of a snowy village, the perfect balance of cold and warmth that many seek out during December.

Be sure to view the piece in full screen to really soak it in!

Glam Up My Markup: Winter Solstice

We loved the old-timey newspaper feel of @wantu’s Winter Solstice page, along with its responsive design and dark mode functionality.

Our two winners will receive a 6-month DEV++ Membership, an exclusive DEV badge and a gift from the DEV Shop. All participants will receive a completion badge for rising to the challenge!

How to reduce TTFB

In the past few years in the web dev world, we’ve seen a significant push towards rendering our websites on the server. Doing so is better for SEO and performs better on low-powered devices, but one thing we had to sacrifice is TTFB.

Congratulations to @aslanreza and @wantu on their well-deserved wins in the December Frontend Challenge! The creativity in both the CSS Art and landing page markup categories was inspiring. It’s clear that the community’s technical skills and festive spirit shine through. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s future projects and joining the upcoming GitHub Copilot 1-Day Build Challenge! My cousin was stuck with a literature review assignment that he couldn’t figure out. I came across oxessays.com OxEssays and decided to give it a shot. Their team delivered a high-quality review that was thoroughly researched and properly formatted. The process was simple, and the results spoke for themselves. My cousin’s grades improved significantly, and he was grateful for the timely support.
