I'd like to think that tools and systems will evolve for better matching resulting in fewer needlessly-repetitive, low-knowledge-share interview processes. However, this is a really difficult problem to solve because the system can be gamed by any party involved.
And because we're used to over-promising systems being gameable, I think there is a distrust of adopting new ways which is a reinforcement of doing things the same old way.
I think change in this area is just a tough boulder to push uphill so I kind of expect "same old" in a period where that could become even more painful with the wrench of AI changing the nature of a lot of jobs and career paths. I'm of the mindset that there isn't an obvious "net job loss" that will occur, but titles and expectations will shift and until they "settle", things could be even more painful in the meantime.
My bet: Tech roles will become less specialized to specific technologies now that companies realize that engineers can do more with AI assistants.
Not only are engineers expected to do more in terms of productivity and speed, engineers will need to be able to work with more languages, frameworks and technologies (with the aid of AI).
Portfolios and product thinking skills will start mattering more going forward.
Many backend roles will likely suffer, while frontend roles, especially those that include UX skills will continue to grow.
There is an over-abundance of tools already.
The real issue are elsewhere : lack of training, economic pressure, lack of consideration, lack of training, people don't stay in the job, bad practices spreading faster than the good ones

I doubt it will evolve. There's still a huge overflow of devs in the market, that will continue to bring down prices and overall have a negative impact on the sector as a whole, at least for freelancers. Whatever AI brings, will be a drop in the ocean. We will probably see an ever increasing number of job offers written with AI in a terrible way though :p
