Hey everyone! I actually found out about this community through a Product Hunt forum and decided to jump in.
Right now, I'm working on building The Sponge (thesponge.app). The inspiration came from a personal pain point: a massive forgetting crisis where most of what we learn and read online simply fades away. I originally wanted a way to master deep pools of information (like prepping for the massive knowledge base needed for Jeopardy!).
Since information access isn't the bottleneck anymore, the real advantage belongs to those who can retain and recall it. So I built an AI-powered flashcard app and browser extension that "soaks up" webpages instantly and uses spaced repetition to turn daily reading into lasting knowledge.

Hey everyone 👋 I'm Flippie. I'm a solo dev building Intrinsiqq, a free stock-analysis tool that pulls everything straight from SEC EDGAR filings (the raw XBRL), no third-party data feeds except for the price data.
What brought me here: I want to write up some of the genuinely messy engineering behind it. Things like the same financial concept getting tagged five different ways across filings, or reconstructing a company's Q4 numbers that only ever exist inside the annual report. Stuff that sounds trivial until you actually try it. 😅
