Hi Jess,
Iβve been following your work and your advocacy for open source and community-driven technology on DEV for a long time (especially your recent insights on AI belonging to everyone).
As an independent open-source architect based in Venezuela, Iβve spent the past year building REMI Enterprise Suiteβa modular, open-source multi-agent AI framework designed to run 100% locally on standard or legacy hardware without central cloud dependencies or SaaS APIs. We just formalized our official grant application to the NLnet Foundation's CodeSupply Fund (2026-11-0db).
Given your deep connection with builders and open-source tooling, I wanted to share it directly with you to get your perspective, or just hear your thoughts if you have a few minutes to check it out:

Iβd love any feedback you might have on running local multi-agent systems or our approach to asynchronous architecture in app_core.
Thanks for everything you do to keep the DEV community thriving.

Finally published something I'd been sitting on for weeks. A personal one about going too deep with AI and finding my way back, the kind of thing I kept talking myself out of posting. Got it out.
Bigger win though, somewhere in doing it I could suddenly see where my business is actually headed. I've been building books, guides, and tools for a while, and this week it clicked how they all connect into one path. Can't unsee it now.

Two Ways People Go With AI. Both Are Traps.
Found out my queue workers were still running the old code after every deploy. The worker boots once and holds the app in memory, so I would push a fix and the queue would carry on doing the broken thing.
One line of queue:restart in the deploy script. It cost me an evening to work out, which is why I am counting it.
Not related to coding or Tech but this week I lost 1 kg of my body weight and been consistent with my workout routine.
