Amazon has appointed Tableau CEO Adam Selipsky, a former Amazon executive, to lead Amazon Web Services (AWS), after Andy Jassy replaces Jeff Bezos as Amazon CEO. Selipsky helped launch the cloud division when he was hired in 2005, Jassy told employees in an email. The 54-year-old Selipsky spent 11 years at AWS before joining Tableau in 2016 as its CEO.

Zoom has released a software development kit (SDK) to help developers build Zoom into their software. Developers can use the SDK to embed Zoom's chat functions in a variety of places without being tied to the Zoom Meetings user interface. Zoom is rolling out a centralized portal for developers to learn about and access available developer tools. It includes an analytics dashboard where developers can monitor how users are interacting with Zoom features.

Facebook has announced that it will be hosting its annual developer conference 'F8' as a one-day event, virtually. The event is being called 'F8 Refresh' this year and will be live-streamed on the 'Facebook for Developers' page. Last year, the event was cancelled over coronavirus concerns. However, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will not be speaking at the event this year.

Clubhouse Co-founder Paul Davison, in the firm's weekly Townhall event, said the firm is working "really hard" to come to Android, but said it's going to take a "couple of months" to make that happen. Davison also spoke about dropping Clubhouse's invite-only status as he wants the app to open up to everyone.
