I'm not sure how I could phrase this one but: some tag for people looking to work on a project together. Side projects are interesting and all that but it can be a lonely task sometimes. I don't know if some dev.to strangers would be willing to collaborate on a interesting project someone brings up. I imagine that could be about a lot of different things: some programming side-project, open source stuff, writing an e-book....
Not sure about the potential of that one though :D
I like the idea of a tag for folks to share the tech stacks they are working with, and commenters can ask questions about any of them. I'm not sure about naming it though.
I started writing software in 1984. Over the years I worked with many languages, technologies, and tools. I have been in leadership positions since the early 2000s, and in executive roles since 2014.

Yeah these are great thoughts. I like #showcase. Someone made a post with #showdev as a tag and we have a few posts under that. What are folks' thoughts on the naming of that? Either could work for me. Early on it's easy for us to change tag names and port the posts over.
Technically, it wouldn't ever be a problem, but once a tag sticks, it would be harder to change the name for the community, so we try to get the name just right.
I like #advice, again, I would love folks thoughts about the naming of that. Is #advice the ideal, or maybe #seekingadvice for example?
I like this idea a lot too but do think #advice-needed or #freeAdvice (not so good i know) or some namespacing for need/give on a lot of tags could help? i think this confusion seems to plague a lot of forums i'm in as lots of people need help and lots of people love to share their work/advice/tips/opinions/etc...
Equal parts higher-ed IT, web dev and support; with a dash of freelance consulting thrown in for good measure. (Oct/19: Seeking change of pace. Not afraid to take a step back in order to move ahead!)

Someone used to call me "Learn more", and I'm spending forever to live up to it. You'll find me dabbling in random stuff 👨💻 or missing a wide open shot in 🏀

What about #problem when seeking the collective wisdom of this community around a problem. That could be a technical problem, a career or work problem, etc.

#collaboration, #cooperation

#mystack
#ourstack
#techstacks
#stacks
#stackshowandtell
#devstacks
#ourtech
etc. etc.
Anybody have any thoughts about a good name for that one?
One more suggestion: #project, to be used to find developers interested in collaborating on some development project.
help or #advice - for those who seek mentorship.
Might be a stretch but #showcase for people to brag about stuff they've done?

Something like #mistake, where you talk about (technical) decisions you made that turned out to be a mistake, and how you corrected course.
Ended up going with #ourstack!
But it's still up for discussion early on. My thought was that #mystack could apply to more solo projects. 🙂
#poll ??
Of course, this would mean rolling a poll widget generator into the markdown editor.
Yeah, this has been in my mind for a while. We'll put it on the backlog.
'#talks'
For conference presentations or similar
Love that! We've thought about adding some type of 'slides' support.
Perhaps something like #DevMemes for people to just share funny memes centered around programming as silly as it sounds.
#askingforafriend
Like you know, ...., something someone is embarrassed to ask, but still ask in the name of courage (or my friend really wants to know) 😄💪

til - classic, today I learned for things/hacks/facts everyone discovers from time to time
probably a bit late but I would love some interesting stuff:
reverse-engineering
branding
