Show us your Open-Source project

Hello everyone, I'm Antonio, CEO and Founder at Litlyx.

I hope you’re all doing well. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted here, and that’s because we’ve been in stealth mode, fully focused on securing funding and dedicating ourselves 1000% to our objectives.

Spoiler alert: we did get funding! More details on that soon.

Now, let’s talk about your amazing project that’s been hidden away, waiting for its moment to shine.

Share your open-source project using the following format:

I was going to share my similar experiences for the issue, but the issue was deleted :)

Hi, here is my project, it is a PHP framework with an admin panel for small and medium applications. Maybe it will suit someone.

I am amazed by how programmers, that are supposed to be strict in their logic and procedures, all missed the directive of following a specific format when sharing their projects. LOL.

Description: I need to think of a better name for the tool. Still, I introduce you to a powerful CLI tool for scaffolding MVC architecture servers using Express or Hono. Easily set up a project with your choice of database, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and skip the tedious setup process. With create-mvc-server, you can start building your application faster and focus on what matters.

Daamn, have to try it with Hono. It's currently my favorite framework. Starred

Thank you for starring it. I also had no idea Hono was even a thing before I started this project, so I've definitely learnt a few things doing this.

Hi, congrats on the funding! :)

Recently we started open-sourcing a number of internal developments, it's still a 'work-in-progress', but... I'll share one that I think might be interesting to people who are new to OpenTelemetry:

Website: (none really, but you can check out OpenTelemetry's website instead)

Stars: 28

Repository link: OpenTelemetry and Analytics

Description: Small tools to help you ingest OpenTelemetry logs, metrics, traces into popular open source analytics backends - like Apache Druid and then do some visualizations (say, with Apache Superset ) or Python Notebooks if you prefer to learn by looking at actual data.

Would like to point out that we use OpenTelemetry in a slightly unorthodox way - not for production monitoring, but for tests. That is - we collect telemetry when we run tests (like stress tests or anything, really), and then use that data to 'monitor' the quality of our releases. Personally, I think the practice is worth adopting, but a quick note - what you'll find on the repo above might be biased towards 'telemetry for tests'.

All feedback welcome (haven't open-sourced anything before) and thanks! :)

Thanks!

Didn't have much time earlier today to take a look at Litlyx, did now. Have to say - pretty cool!

I think in the EU (seems you guys are based in the EU, right?) we definitely need analytics 'done our way' - without cookies and in accordance with our privacy principles, so... Good work on your side! :)

Description: Cuber is an automation tool (written in Ruby) that can package and deploy your apps (written in any language and framework) on Kubernetes. Unlike other tools that add more options and more complexity to Kubernetes, Cuber is made to simplify and reduce the complexity, thus making the deployment process more standardized and reliable. You just need to create a Cuberfile, with ~10 lines of code, and then type cuber deploy to package and deploy your app on any Kubernetes cluster.

Repository link: Nitric Github

Description: Nitric is a declarative cloud framework with common resources like APIs, websockets, databases, queues, topics, buckets, and more. Nitric doesn't just deploy the resources, it helps you interact with them. It also makes them pluggable, so you can swap services or even whole clouds without changing your code.

It's what's missing between applications and infrastructure automation.
