Documentation tracking, directly integrated in your workflow
We're on a mission to defeat outdated documentation. To this purpose, we built Savoir, a GitHub application that allows you to track, create, update, and managed your software documentation directly in your pull requests.
Savoir was founded in 2020 by Guillaume St-Pierre out of a frustration with outdated documentation and the difficulty of doing something about it without learning/using 12 different tools. The product was validated in collaboration with a researcher in human-computer interaction at Carleton University, and bootstraped through development projects.
Our stack
Our initial version was built in Elixir with the Phoenix framework, though it is getting rewritten in Golang with the Encore framework. Our frontend is built with React and TypeScript, and styled with TailwindCSS.
