Another common mistake [I see for folks new in the industry] is thinking that your resume isn’t going to really do much. You really need to focus on your resume because the resume’s the thing that most recruiters are going to look at.

HR work by Keyword matching. If the position you apply for mention "Gitlab, .NET Core and Agile", don't put in your resume "DevOps, C# and Scrum certified".
Your resume will be filtered by non-technical people, especially in big companies. So if you don't use exactly the same keywords, it won't even reach someone who has the skills to understand it.
Step 1: Main Content
First, create a document detailing your experiences. Describe your accomplishments, the tech stack you utilized, and the team dynamics and work processes you were part of. Then, browse job boards and review at least 30 intriguing vacancies. This will help you compile a list of the most frequently required skills for your targeted position. Once you have this list, highlight the skills you already possess and seek education or training for the ones you lack.
