Congrats to the Frontend Challenge: June Celebrations Winners!

Today's the day! We are excited to announce the winners of Frontend Challenge: June Celebrations.

Reviewing submissions for this challenge was an absolute joy as we witnessed the community celebrate the rich tapestry of June festivities. From adorable interactive experiences for Hug Your Cat Day to vibrant cultural celebrations of Brazilian Festa Junina traditions, participants embraced the theme's all-encompassing spirit.

This only happens on the rarest of occasions but we've decided to pick two winners for each prompt. We've also included an honorable mention for a project we just loved!

Congratulations To…

CSS Art: June Celebrations

@jarvisscript brings Father's Day celebration to life with a delightfully crafted "Dad's Canned Jokes" root beer can.

You should also check out the companion landing page for a hearty laugh!

@axrisi delivers a delightful tribute to National Donut Day with this purely CSS-driven frosted donut complete with colorful sprinkles.

The gentle "bobbing" animation makes this piece of art all the more fun!

Perfect Landing: June Celebrations

@sneha_2004 creates a vibrant digital space with QueerStation, a Pride zine that channels punk aesthetics and queer joy into an interactive web experience.

This project stands out for its bold design and meaningful content.

@eoinmcg takes us on a space journey celebrating World Asteroid Day with an interactive landing page that perfectly balances learning and fun.

We loved the asteroid field, space travel elements, and engaging educational content.

Our four winners will each receive a DEV++ Membership, and an exclusive DEV badge. All participants will receive a completion badge for rising to the challenge!

Honorable Mention

Finally, we'd be remiss if we didn't give special recognition to @_boweii for creating the "Juneteenth Freedom Clock," a beautifully crafted art piece honoring this pivotal moment in American history.

While it included JavaScript beyond our CSS Art guidelines, the project's meaningful celebration of Juneteenth, intricate animations, and thoughtful historical context deserve acknowledgment.

What's next?

Our next Frontend Challenge is already live and ready for you to jump right into:

We hope you had fun, felt challenged, and maybe added a thing or two to your professional profile.
