My journey from modern languages at Uni is a long winded and unlikely one indeed. It’s hard coming into the game later in life, you eat a lot of humble pie, and working with experts who are 10 years younger than you.. but now that I found software development, I don’t understand how I could ever do anything else. I've been around since t1998 at the age of 10 , when I first found Private Rooms on AOL like Warez, Server, Scroll, INT, IXA, Ops, WhyWork, VB, Margorp and OH.
I began with a hex editor and some. BAS files. Got into password crackers, then spamming, then at 13 I got into the birth of what would become digital marketing and SEO.
I devised a framework for self driven learning where I continuously taught myself all facets of marketing, SEO, PPC, graphic design, web design, behavioral psychology, neurology, logic, philosophy and creative writing.
I've now been doing all of those things to one level or another for 20+ years and I'm currently editing a book I wrote about how to implement such a framework from scratch. ,
I've also spent the past 2 years getting very heavily into AI large language models machine learning and I taught myself Python and react as well.
Fun fact: I'm also a fairly prolific graffiti artist, having picked that up at age 11 and stuck with it until I retired at age 33.
