Finally launched something i've been working on for about 5 months at developin.com :) it's basically Patreon but for software devs + projects. Glad it's finally "out there" for the world to see and enjoy!

Trying to get to grips with iOS 26 has not been too difficult except I couldn't get toolbar buttons to be tinted and round... but I figured it out! Honestly got me more excited than it should have but it's a thing of beauty when it works!

I added two new tricky features to my new app - streaming long-taking response via WebSockets, and exports to docx+pdf.

Then I deployed them on production and neither worked.

It took a long frustrating time to make it work:

exporting had some problems with missing fonts for LaTeX, and randomly adding more and more system packages finally solved that, but I'm still unsure which are needed
WebSockets were not working because of Apache misconfiguration, which we finally found.

I'm not completely happy with the outcome (having a lot of packages I don't even know if I need), but it's still a win - we go two important features to our users in time for beta testing!
