Hi Melissa - just remember it's the ideas behind programming that are more important than the syntax of the language or the parameters of a function. You have to get the idea, find a way to "see" what is happening, you can Google the rest (at least that's what I do... oh shit, now I have impostor syndrome!)
+1 Mike!
Sound advice
Hey there. I'm a frontend engineer mostly working with react an its ecosystem. In my free-time I read plenty of articles or experiment with typescript/graphql/node on the dark (backend) side ;)
Although I'm here for some time (some years already), I never wrote any posts and was mostly lurking around. But somehow I would love to change that and contribute some content back to this nice community. Any tips/topics on how to get started writing articles? Never had the courage to publish something :/
Hey! I totally connect with lurking around but feeling barriers to contributing content. I've been trying to get over this as well, but it's certainly challenging! I try to remind myself that wherever you are is where you are supposed to be, and in the perfect place to begin. Try to not overthink or get attached to perfection, and just get something out there! The more you do it, the easier it becomes. You can do it! :)
Hello! I've been interested in React for some time and will be diving into it soon. I'll be on the lookout for your articles. I think the only advice I can throw out there for getting started writing articles is just pick one topic/feature/interesting thing you know a good amount about and start writing. Articles don't have to be perfect and you'll get a better idea of what your style is and how you want it to present as you write more.
