Howdy! I'm Stephen. I am a staff engineer at a non-profit trying to work in the progressive ecosystem to make a difference in 2020. I'm currently working in Golang but have worked in js/node, various frontend stacks, Ruby and Java. I've lead teams, departments and been a individual contributor.
This is my favorite picture of my cat Tony. He was very confused when all the furniture was gone when I was moving.
He looks like the kind of cat that has his own favorite chair.
Hello Stephen!! Your cat is adorable :]
tony is awesome. i love him.
You cat is adorable! He sort of reminds me of one of my cat Orian. He likes to harass me as soon as I pull my Mac out lol
Hi, very cool that you are working on progressive issues!
Hey everyone, finally got around to joining while ignoring my remote standup meeting, lol.
Standups are important... dev.to more so.
hahahahaha nice advice
Hello everyone 👋
Hope everyone are safe with your family.

Hello Devs!
Great to be part of dev.to
I'm currently working on huntr.dev - an open source bug bounty board.
Come and have a chat about open source security!
I do more of the design, marketing, and frontend HTML and Javascript - but I am constantly increasing my developer knowledge by reading your articles (thank you), watching videos, and taking Codecademy courses when I get the time!
Software development is fun as hell.
Fun fact about me - I can do a Rubik's cube in under 20 seconds :P
<3
Woot! And open source bug bounty board is a really cool idea. Welcome to DEV! 😀
Thank you!
Hello and welcome to Dev.to Community ! 👋🏼😉

Hi you welcome
Hello everyone. I'm interested in cs for good few years now. Python is my language of choice. At the moment i'm building my first web app in flask/bootstrap combo. At some stage I would like to dip my toe in data science possibly but since it's a hobby there's no pressure.
That's awesome that you are pursuing this as a hobby! Hopefully this will be a good resource for you! It's always good to have passionate people in the industry!
Thanks mikel
Hello everyone! 🙌 I’m a student at Codesmith in NYC. My production project team has spent the week ideating on developing a front end developer tool that would address a need/gap in the community. So far, we’ve come up with some ideas (micro frontends library/convertor for Vue and React; prototype tool for Svelte). If anybody has any suggestions/tips/guidance on problems/issues/challenges related to these technologies, please let me know! I’m all ears👂
Hello and welcome!
Hello fellow coders. Proud and happy to be in this community.
Good to have you!

Hello everybody It's my pleasure to be here I'm new to javascript and in first step I wanna change a static website created by java script into a bilingual website. Would you please recommend some helpful titles to easily do the project.
Hi 👋, I'm Elio and work as an independent Belgium-based Engineering Lead, Blogger eliostruyf.com, and Public Speaker for Valo Intranet.
I work in the Microsoft 365 / SharePoint space. Something most of you don't like ☺️. These days it is actually incredibly fun, as things are so rapidly changing in it. Every day there's something new to learn, and finally started to use the latest and greatest.
Coding is a passion, as most of us share here most probably. My preferred language is TypeScript, but also dare to use C#. On my GitHub profile, you can find various of my hobby projects. Like for instance the VSCode extension to manage
front matterof my static site: Front Matter Extension or an extension to easily export TypeScript modules: TypeScript Export All Modules. These are just two of the many other projects you find there.Besides coding I have a passion for Lego and stickers (even created a side hustle during this crisis called: Pimp Your Own Device.

Hi Devs!
Im a fresh college graduate whos just trying to absorb as much information about things tech and devy as possible! I hope everyone is safe during these weird times and finally have some time to hack away at their new projects.
Hello. My name is Ayush. I am a first year student. I like relating computer field to the world. Universe is made of laws and its own system. It's uncanny that universe looks like a computer program if we reduce it to very, very small scale. Is it coincidence?
Hello guys, I am Emmanuel or Manu from Nairobi, Kenya.
I have just started teaching myself coding. I have started out with Python and R and I have also done a bit of HTML.
ANy assistance or guidance in this new path will be highly welcome.
HEllO WoRlD!
Hello world:)
Heya! Hope you dig DEV.
Hello everyone! I'm Colton. I'm an aspiring software engineer in my final 3 weeks of my bootcamp at Flatiron School in Seattle. I'm in the process of switching careers from Strength & Conditioning to a career in tech. Looking forward to being a part of the dev.to community!
Hey Colton, welcome to dev community! I just joined it myself too.
What areas of software engineering are you interested in?
Hey Lucas, nice to meet you and welcome as well!
In my Bootcamp we've learned both front and back-end pretty extensively, and I love them both. So I'd say ideally full-stack. That being said, I seem to be drawn more towards the front-end side of things, so if I had to choose one I'd say front-end. Since the job market is in a weird place right now, I'm also prepared to take what I can get and run with it!
Hello people! Happy to join the community. :D
Hello Dev am happy to in dis community. It's a pleasure meeting everyone here
Hi, I am Bhavsagar from Delhi, I am a self-taught developer.
Happy to be a part of Dev.to

Hello fellow developers! I'm June. I am a student currently going to school for CS and web dev. Computers have recently piqued my interest a few years ago while I was in a friendly math class on subjects about math being used in computer dev. Ever since that day, I wanted to learn more about computers and computer security.
Hopefully, with joining this community I can learn from the greats about strategy and tips on what should I do😊
Currently learning the basics and js :)
Hello everyone,
My name is Shashi, I am a Microsoft Windows Engineer,
I am new to the programing world and transitioning into the .net core / C# / power-apps sphere, I am looking forward to learning and collaborating with you all.
Hey Shashi, welcome to the DEV community! This platform is a great place to learn and engage with others. I am glad you joined and I can't wait to see your posts!
Hello Everyone,
It's safe to say that I'm a noob here with barely a year of experience in the mobile app development domain. Learning JavaScript, nodejs, GitHub, Vue, nosql databases and all things new in this new world of web application development.
I come with 10 years of experience writing and maintaining code in the core Java domain where I've worked with DB drivers, rule engines, BPM suites, ERP, and all things legacy.
I'd say with 10 years of Java experience you sure as hell aren't a noob! Welcome!
Hi,
I am Nadeem. I am a full stacking software engineer working as a freelancer on up work, fivver and other websites. I recently found dev.to website and its really amazing and from that day I learn something new every day.
Hello, I'm Bruce, a retired developer still loving coding as a hobby. I've been programming since 1967, using IBM 360 assembly, Apple II assembly, DEC PDP/11 assembly and C, MS Windows C, MS VB.Net, iOS games using Lua, and now Javascript with React. Except for the IBM 360 assembly all were self taught. So as a life-time learner, I am really excited to find Dev.to. I have found so many nuggets of information that are direct, to the point and immediately useful. You are an important source of news about new technology, for example Deno and Jamstack. I've been thinking about my current project's approach to Jamstack and coined a new term to go with the MEAN and MERN stacks. It's the FORD stack for Fauna, Oak, React, Deno. I'm living in NYC with my wife and we have been essentially isolated since March. So being able to get into flow while coding is a joy. Thanks for the good work.
Hello Devs
I'm Nick. I am working as a software engineer at Zoho Corporation, India. I am currently working in Java and JavaScript. I have a short experience with Angular 5 too.
I am passionate about machine learning and competitive programming.
Hello Dev.to community. I'm a newbie in online forums, so take easy with me okay? hahaha. I learn fast and share it faster than. I hope help you with anything and being help to. Have a nice day for everyone.
As Sloan reminded me twice to make an introduction: Hello DEV!
I'm Ludwig -> LG to keep things short and snappy. I work as a freelancer in Amsterdam. I'm not a developer and sadly nor do I have a fancy bachelors degree in anything computer sciency but got enough spark to tackle programming for application scripting purposes. I'm an image manipulation/ 2d/ 3d graphics guy first using Python, Angular, and Vex which I use for building workflow tools for Photoshop, Houdini and many other 3D related apps. So far I found really great resources here and joining this community seems like a smart move on my learning path journey!
Code and algorithms help me produce nice visual work!

Hello everyone. My name is Conor. I am a noob who went delving into JavaScript about 7 weeks ago. I'm making a career transition from audio tech to dev world and have signed up to the CodeLand workshops happening next week.
I hope to learn a lot and maybe I can pass on some knowledge/experience to others later down the line.
Hi there 👋
My name is Parixit. I am here to learn things from my fellow members & to contribute what I know.
I am a Software Developer working mainly on Laravel, jQuery, VueJs and continuously trying to improve my programming skills.
Happy to be part of this community.
Hey guys! I am a noobie right out of a Full-Stack dev boot camp. I have had troubles being effective on solving JS on a interview/test setting. Any advice? Which tools would you recommend to keep yourself sharp?
Hi everyone, pleased to finally join this community. I hope to be able to grow my curiosity, to have consistency in my programming journey and to achieve my dream as a capable and dependable programmer in 5 years time from now.
Hey everyone, I'm an 18 yr old High school graduate (class of 2020) who struggles with commitment to plans without other people pushing me to accomplish it. I want to learn programming and 3D modeling so I can make games but I get distracted and will put it off even though I desperately want to make games.
Hello everyone! Hope you all are safe and doing well!
I am Ayush from India. I am a undergrad student passionate about web development and SEO. Got to know about this community on twitter and looking forward to meeting some amazing people and following their work.

Hey yall, I'm Farhan. I am a final year student studying Computer Science (B.Tech.). I am working as a developer intern in a Hyderabad based software company called CodeTantra Tech Solutions. Having great fun learning. Hope everyone's safe and healthy. Feeling awesome to join this community. Super excited to learn a lot from everyone here! Have a great day.😁
Hello fellow devs! My name is Filip, and I am currently studying Multimedia Technology and Design at a University of Agder in Norway! As little as my Bachelors degree focuses on web dev, I am aspiring to work with web development one day. We've only had some really simple html, css, wordpress and some javascript in our broad spectrum of courses.
Currently going through some Javascript courses and tutorials as well as trying to build some small projects on the side to apply the knowledge. Recently got into Bash command line after installing WSL2 and learnt Git, which made the whole aspect of command line (it really seemed like some complicated, not understandable gibberish) seem much less complicated!
Hey squad!
My name is Colin. I'm a front end tech lead at a direct-to-consumer ecommerce brand based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. My journey here has been a little haphazard, but I'm super excited to get more involved in the dev community.
Currently, my life is a mashup of JAMstack, new dad stuff and mountain biking to stay sane while Covid does Covid stuff all around my state.
Hope everyone is staying safe and having fun out there. I'm pumped to learn what's going on in the rest of the community, now that I'm jumping in head first.
Hello all! I'm a web dev that is hoping to get more connected and involved in the community at large.
I have been at a large company for the last 4 years as my first and only developer job, because of this, I've gained a lot of weird niche knowledge, and missed out on working on new tech and ground-up projects. So I've recently starting putting real effort into learning things I should have learned 3 years ago lol. I'm excited to learn and share!
Hey everyone. i’m Harris and i’m a senior full stack developer. I’m based in London and currently working for a FX company.
I love writing blogs about my things i’ve learned during my coding journey. Please come and say hi and really looking forward to meet awesome new people.
Hello everyone
Hope everyone are safe with family.
I am very excited to meet all technical people around the world and upgrade myself to the new technologies.
Lets build and take the community to next level of learning platform
Hi everyone, Divyansh here. I am a software engineer interested in the general software design and coding stuff. Have been in the industry for not so long. Excited to be the part of the community. Any leads on how to make the most out it?
Hi I am Turloch. I am an experienced Java developer at Oracle. I am a newbie on the extra stuff (compiling up third parties - current temporary issue with Kotlin jetbrains annotations 13) and side project is learning REACT/Javascript. Married (son born 2006). Born on UNIX epoch 1st Jan 1970. Catch you in the forums! Turloch
Hello! I am Otso. I am software engineer, freelancer, student and Apple-hater from Finland. I have got some skills like C/C++, Java, Javascript and currently learning PHP. I make software for Linux, and sometimes Windows.
I really want to get into community, and help communities to grow bigger and better.
Hello and welcome!😊
Hello devs!! I've been wanting to start contributing to open source projects or fix bugs for awhile, and have only done some shallow research here and there. I'd like to surround myself with other devs and like-minded people who are keen to problem solve, I think it'll help motivate me to do more research on projects!!
In the future I'd love to work for a non profit and feel as if my work is more meaningful. For now I am still in the early stages of building my career (2 years as a SE). I prefer backend languages like Golang, but work in c# for work. Im familiar with python, elixir, some Java etc. Mainly I have dabbled in a lot but am a quick study (as I think most devs are) so new languages/frameworks have never frightened me.
I will probably be poking around this week and seeing what people are up to or working on to get some inspiration!! Also I have a strong advocacy and interest in supporting women in tech and poc. If anyone has open source projects their working on and need more bugs fixed, I'm happy to look into it 🙇
Hello devs 👋 I hope you're doing great and staying safe!
I'm Karim Elghamry. I'm a senior student enrolled in the bachelor's degree of Computer Engineering program at Nile University, Egypt. I've worked in various development fields such as Frontend/Backend and machine learning.
I've currently started developing my own OS from scratch using the x86 Assembly and C languages. I'm hoping to start a series of articles where I explain my process of OS development and share my experience with others.
I am so excited to chat and meet with the fantastic people in this community and I look forward to writing my first article soon! ❤︎❤︎
Hi,
I am umar, i am project manager at mobitsolutions a wordpress development agency
I found this community useful and helping and finally, I am here. looking forward to sharing experiences.
Thank you!
Hey there, I'm Lucas! In love with copyleft and software engineering since my first semester in university. I aim to assist communities in solving problems the best way I can, even if little by little.
Admittedly, I have a ”thing” for low-level programming and operational systems inner workings, as well as distributed systems. At the moment I’m having a blast using Golang to develop Kubernetes Operators. Also having a great (and challenging) time reading “Domain Driven Development”, by Eric Evans.
Other than that, I’m a 23 years old guy passionate about music who is going through a chess phase (is it still a phase after 2 years?).
The main project I'm currently working on is a community Nexus Operator for Kubernetes and Openshift.
Looking forward to learning stuff with you all and hoping to be able teach a thing or two! :-D
Hello Hello!!! My name is Angi. Right now I am a designer training to become a full-stack well developer. A post brought me here XD wanted to see more!!
I love rollerblading so much, I try to wake up at 5 am to skate. If I can't wake up early I will randomly skate at 1 am on the weekends, or anytime when the sun doesn't burn as much :P (I live in Miami, the sun will cook you!!)
Ahoy! :)
My name is Samir (Sam), i'm web fullstack developer for 2 years and a half on Brazil and i do mostly laravel and Vuejs on my daily work (Postgres for db).
I got dev.to from my friend, because i want to be a better dev.
well i hope i can contribute and learn with you guys.
Sometimes I'll start a sentence, and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way.
Hey there!
Hey folks! I'm Rishabh, a software engineer at Intuit. I've been browsing dev.to for quite some time but I figured I'd finally try and become and active member of the community 😁! I currently work, and have the most experience, with Javascript and a lot of React. I've tried a few other frameworks in the past but I've always come back to React. I'm currently dabbling with UI/UX stuff, trying to learn how good user experiences are built as well as mobile dev via React Native or Flutter.
In my spare time I would be rock climbing but the world is currently in lock down so I've since picked up writing about topics I find great interest in: productivity and personal development. My early quarantine project was to set up a blog which you can find here if that piques your interest. Apart from that I've been learning Japanese (which I also write about).

This days Everywhere I found react is trending now a days some of dev Community suggest if Google change the framework technology in 2+ versions then they should change the name regardless AngularJS is the most dreaded framework as per developers choice.
What's your opinion about Angular framework?
Hello my fellow developers!
I've been here for only about 10 mins, yet I already feel obligated to say:

A little about me...
Other than being transparent to a fault, I am an eager explorer looking to learn everything I can get my hands on. I value the truth over anything else and could not care less about who is right.
Consequently, I love poking holes in everything; especially, in my own ideas and logic. Can never get enough criticism; continuously looking for feedback both on a personal and professional level.
It is my belief that understanding others as well as where they come from holds the key to enriching all of our lives.
Currently, taking my final steps towards a degree in Software Engineering but in my mind, I always was a problem-solver.
Trying my best to work on projects outside of my curriculum and LITERALLY cannot wait to start solving real-life problems!
Extremely excited to be a part of your community and looking forward to building extraordinary relationships with all of you awesome people!
So don't be shy, let's get connected. I kindly invite you to check out my profile and shoot me a message with feedback or just to say hi!
Off to explore...
Hi devs! I'm Patricia Ayuso an ex-developer, now dev manager. I have missed some of my coding skills but I try to be on top of what's going on in our world so I can guide my team. Also Agile Coach, so if you need some advice, let me know 😉
I also love data analysis (have a BI concentration), travel, yoga, reading and teaching. Here's a photo of my students several semesters ago 🥰
