Howdy! I'm Stephen. I am a staff engineer at a non-profit trying to work in the progressive ecosystem to make a difference in 2020. I'm currently working in Golang but have worked in js/node, various frontend stacks, Ruby and Java. I've lead teams, departments and been a individual contributor.
This is my favorite picture of my cat Tony. He was very confused when all the furniture was gone when I was moving.
He looks like the kind of cat that has his own favorite chair.
Hello Stephen!! Your cat is adorable :]
tony is awesome. i love him.
Looking good, feline better.
You cat is adorable! He sort of reminds me of one of my cat Orian. He likes to harass me as soon as I pull my Mac out lol
Hi, very cool that you are working on progressive issues!
Hey everyone, finally got around to joining while ignoring my remote standup meeting, lol.
Standups are important... dev.to more so.
hahahahaha nice advice
Hello everyone 👋

Hello Devs!
Great to be part of dev.to
I'm currently working on huntr.dev - an open source bug bounty board.
Come and have a chat about open source security!
I do more of the design, marketing, and frontend HTML and Javascript - but I am constantly increasing my developer knowledge by reading your articles (thank you), watching videos, and taking Codecademy courses when I get the time!
Software development is fun as hell.
Fun fact about me - I can do a Rubik's cube in under 20 seconds :P
<3
Woot! And open source bug bounty board is a really cool idea. Welcome to DEV! 😀
Thank you!
Hello and welcome to Dev.to Community ! 👋🏼😉
Hello!
huntr.dev seems like a great idea!
Thank you!
Is there a word missing here: "Find and fix open source vulnerabilities - be recognised for protecting millions developers and organisations!"
Yes, yes there is... thank you :)

Hello @Isaias!
Hi you welcome
Hello everyone. I'm interested in cs for good few years now. Python is my language of choice. At the moment i'm building my first web app in flask/bootstrap combo. At some stage I would like to dip my toe in data science possibly but since it's a hobby there's no pressure.
That's awesome that you are pursuing this as a hobby! Hopefully this will be a good resource for you! It's always good to have passionate people in the industry!
Thanks mikel
Hello everyone! 🙌 I’m a student at Codesmith in NYC. My production project team has spent the week ideating on developing a front end developer tool that would address a need/gap in the community. So far, we’ve come up with some ideas (micro frontends library/convertor for Vue and React; prototype tool for Svelte). If anybody has any suggestions/tips/guidance on problems/issues/challenges related to these technologies, please let me know! I’m all ears👂
Hello and welcome!
Hello fellow coders. Proud and happy to be in this community.

Hi 👋, I'm Elio and work as an independent Belgium-based Engineering Lead, Blogger eliostruyf.com, and Public Speaker for Valo Intranet.
I work in the Microsoft 365 / SharePoint space. Something most of you don't like ☺️. These days it is actually incredibly fun, as things are so rapidly changing in it. Every day there's something new to learn, and finally started to use the latest and greatest.
Coding is a passion, as most of us share here most probably. My preferred language is TypeScript, but also dare to use C#. On my GitHub profile, you can find various of my hobby projects. Like for instance the VSCode extension to manage
front matter
of my static site: Front Matter Extension or an extension to easily export TypeScript modules: TypeScript Export All Modules. These are just two of the many other projects you find there.Besides coding I have a passion for Lego and stickers (even created a side hustle during this crisis called: Pimp Your Own Device.

I have just started teaching myself coding. I have started out with Python and R and I have also done a bit of HTML.
ANy assistance or guidance in this new path will be highly welcome.
Hello. My name is Ayush. I am a first year student. I like relating computer field to the world. Universe is made of laws and its own system. It's uncanny that universe looks like a computer program if we reduce it to very, very small scale. Is it coincidence?
Hey everyone I am in fourth year pursuing graduation in Computer Engineering and I have interest in Java language and its other branches also doing a course in it , still searching for a job and there are some languages like React , Angular on my list to study !
Hello people! Happy to join the community. :D
Hello Everyone,
It's safe to say that I'm a noob here with barely a year of experience in the mobile app development domain. Learning JavaScript, nodejs, GitHub, Vue, nosql databases and all things new in this new world of web application development.
I come with 10 years of experience writing and maintaining code in the core Java domain where I've worked with DB drivers, rule engines, BPM suites, ERP, and all things legacy.
I'd say with 10 years of Java experience you sure as hell aren't a noob! Welcome!
Hi,
I am Nadeem. I am a full stacking software engineer working as a freelancer on up work, fivver and other websites. I recently found dev.to website and its really amazing and from that day I learn something new every day.

Hello, I'm Bruce, a retired developer still loving coding as a hobby. I've been programming since 1967, using IBM 360 assembly, Apple II assembly, DEC PDP/11 assembly and C, MS Windows C, MS VB.Net, iOS games using Lua, and now Javascript with React. Except for the IBM 360 assembly all were self taught. So as a life-time learner, I am really excited to find Dev.to. I have found so many nuggets of information that are direct, to the point and immediately useful. You are an important source of news about new technology, for example Deno and Jamstack. I've been thinking about my current project's approach to Jamstack and coined a new term to go with the MEAN and MERN stacks. It's the FORD stack for Fauna, Oak, React, Deno. I'm living in NYC with my wife and we have been essentially isolated since March. So being able to get into flow while coding is a joy. Thanks for the good work.
Hi, I am Bhavsagar from Delhi, I am a self-taught developer.
Happy to be a part of Dev.to
Hello world:)
Heya! Hope you dig DEV.
Hello everyone! I'm Colton. I'm an aspiring software engineer in my final 3 weeks of my bootcamp at Flatiron School in Seattle. I'm in the process of switching careers from Strength & Conditioning to a career in tech. Looking forward to being a part of the dev.to community!
Hey Colton, welcome to dev community! I just joined it myself too.
What areas of software engineering are you interested in?
Hey Lucas, nice to meet you and welcome as well!
In my Bootcamp we've learned both front and back-end pretty extensively, and I love them both. So I'd say ideally full-stack. That being said, I seem to be drawn more towards the front-end side of things, so if I had to choose one I'd say front-end. Since the job market is in a weird place right now, I'm also prepared to take what I can get and run with it!
Hello Dev am happy to in dis community. It's a pleasure meeting everyone here
HEllO WoRlD!
Hello fellow developers! I'm June. I am a student currently going to school for CS and web dev. Computers have recently piqued my interest a few years ago while I was in a friendly math class on subjects about math being used in computer dev. Ever since that day, I wanted to learn more about computers and computer security.
Hopefully, with joining this community I can learn from the greats about strategy and tips on what should I do😊
Currently learning the basics and js :)
Hey guys I'm Chris,
I have a youtube channel: ChrisAtMachine where I mainly do Linux and Neovim tutorials. A little bit of Machine Learning content is there as well. I also have a blog at chrisatmachine.com where I keep all of my notes and stuff for the channel.
As for my day job I'm a Java developer working in IoT.
Hey everyone!
I've been looking for a Dev community for the longest time and I've finally find one!
My name is Edem and I'm currently a clinical programmer who wants to transition into full stack development (MERN/MEAN).
I'm hoping to connect with other developers to absorb as much knowledge as I possibly can and to grow as a full stack developer.
PS. I love ice cream, Lakers, React and 3D modeling( I can only create a donut for now)
Hey everyone, I'm an 18 yr old High school graduate (class of 2020) who struggles with commitment to plans without other people pushing me to accomplish it. I want to learn programming and 3D modeling so I can make games but I get distracted and will put it off even though I desperately want to make games.
Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing well despite Covid and current turbulent times. I am new to programming. Currently getting my master's in CS, but my background is in Finance. I have some experience with Java and currently learning Front-end with a plan to become product manager. Are there any product owners/managers here?
Hiya fam! I’m Dalaura but everyone calls me Laura without my permission lmao. I aspire to become a python legend!... well, maybe not legend lol but I want to know everything possible about this ever changing super powerful language! I’m totally new to the scene and I can’t until I can finally call myself a Software Engineer. I came here looking to connect with likeminded people to bounce ideas off of or even find a mentor! I have a deep passion for anime and I love anything chocolate! Super excited to have found this place... yaaaay 😁😁😁
Hello everyone! Hope you all are safe and doing well!

Technologies i love:
PHP ( laravel and voyager)

My day job (as a public servant)
React (i think it's overly complicated)

A little about me...
Other than being transparent to a fault, I am an eager explorer looking to learn everything I can get my hands on. I value the truth over anything else and could not care less about who is right.
Consequently, I love poking holes in everything; especially, in my own ideas and logic. Can never get enough criticism; continuously looking for feedback both on a personal and professional level.
It is my belief that understanding others as well as where they come from holds the key to enriching all of our lives.
Currently, taking my final steps towards a degree in Software Engineering but in my mind, I always was a problem-solver.
Trying my best to work on projects outside of my curriculum and LITERALLY cannot wait to start solving real-life problems!
Extremely excited to be a part of your community and looking forward to building extraordinary relationships with all of you awesome people!
So don't be shy, let's get connected. I kindly invite you to check out my profile and shoot me a message with feedback or just to say hi!
Off to explore...
This days Everywhere I found react is trending now a days some of dev Community suggest if Google change the framework technology in 2+ versions then they should change the name regardless AngularJS is the most dreaded framework as per developers choice.
What's your opinion about Angular framework?
Hello everyone! I'm Elias. i don't know anything about software and i want to become a software engineer i decided to join an online program class but i need to learn from a different tutor as i thought and i come across a 30 days python challenge today on google and i decide to check out so the page takes me here and i believed that i can learn from everyone here.

Hello
Hey there!
I’m the CTO at Smartym Pro, a software development company with offices in the UK and Belarus. With more than 11 years of experience in Java enterprise and mobile app development, I help businesses build hi-end software that solves their challenges.
In my company, I’m mostly responsible for technical consulting, negotiating with clients, product delivery, setting up a convenient workflow, and managing dev teams. Recently, I have successfully passed Corda development courses and got a certificate.
I’m interested in blockchain, Big Data, AI, robotics, and the Internet of Things. Feel free to contact me if you are looking for assistance in creating software, have a project idea, or just want to discuss tech issues.
Hope, I’ll be welcomed here!
Hi everyone, good to be here!
As I've not been able to work due to restricted office space, I've been trying to learn some new dev skills, hoping that in this community we can help each other do that!
Cheers!
Hello) I'm Sergey, CTO at Smartym Pro software house. I have more than 11 years of experience in Java enterprise and mobile app development. Here I write articles in my blog, covering topics such as tech trends, smart contracts, programming tips, and innovative software solutions for business.

Hey yall, I'm Farhan. I am a final year student studying Computer Science (B.Tech.). I am working as a developer intern in a Hyderabad based software company called CodeTantra Tech Solutions. Having great fun learning. Hope everyone's safe and healthy. Feeling awesome to join this community. Super excited to learn a lot from everyone here! Have a great day.😁
Hello. I am Michael. I am an accountant who's got hooked with a passion to program after coming across a C# VS deitel textbook in 2018. Since then, I have been fiddling with the express edition that came with it. MS Build was a great watch for me. I started learning html this month, perhaps i can start with a web developer job. I just feel programming is home. Thanks for reading.
Hello DEVs 😎
I am a Web developer from Czech Republic. I started doing backend development with C#, switched to ReactJS 2 years ago and really love it. Now I'm working as Full stack engineer (C# + ReactJS)
Hello everyone! I'm Naman Gupta. I am currently perusing my B.tech studies. I am trying hard to polish my skills which also includes coding, soft skills etc. Love to upgrade myself to the new technologies of the times.
Hello.Nice to meet you.my name is linzarnishwe.I am engineer but i am not this field.BE(Nuclear Technology)Y.T.U and A.G.T.I(Mechanical Power)Chauk.I have a little knowlage.in programming language.long long ago, I knowed fortrum77 programming in mathematic.now i will start learn programming.Thanks you.
Hello fellow devs! My name is Filip, and I am currently studying Multimedia Technology and Design at a University of Agder in Norway! As little as my Bachelors degree focuses on web dev, I am aspiring to work with web development one day. We've only had some really simple html, css, wordpress and some javascript in our broad spectrum of courses.
Currently going through some Javascript courses and tutorials as well as trying to build some small projects on the side to apply the knowledge. Recently got into Bash command line after installing WSL2 and learnt Git, which made the whole aspect of command line (it really seemed like some complicated, not understandable gibberish) seem much less complicated!
Ahoy! :)
My name is Samir (Sam), i'm web fullstack developer for 2 years and a half on Brazil and i do mostly laravel and Vuejs on my daily work (Postgres for db).
I got dev.to from my friend, because i want to be a better dev.
well i hope i can contribute and learn with you guys.
Sometimes I'll start a sentence, and I don't even know where it's going. I just hope I find it along the way.
Hey folks! I'm Rishabh, a software engineer at Intuit. I've been browsing dev.to for quite some time but I figured I'd finally try and become and active member of the community 😁! I currently work, and have the most experience, with Javascript and a lot of React. I've tried a few other frameworks in the past but I've always come back to React. I'm currently dabbling with UI/UX stuff, trying to learn how good user experiences are built as well as mobile dev via React Native or Flutter.
In my spare time I would be rock climbing but the world is currently in lock down so I've since picked up writing about topics I find great interest in: productivity and personal development. My early quarantine project was to set up a blog which you can find here if that piques your interest. Apart from that I've been learning Japanese (which I also write about).
Hey squad!
My name is Colin. I'm a front end tech lead at a direct-to-consumer ecommerce brand based in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. My journey here has been a little haphazard, but I'm super excited to get more involved in the dev community.
Currently, my life is a mashup of JAMstack, new dad stuff and mountain biking to stay sane while Covid does Covid stuff all around my state.
Hope everyone is staying safe and having fun out there. I'm pumped to learn what's going on in the rest of the community, now that I'm jumping in head first.
Hello all! I'm a web dev that is hoping to get more connected and involved in the community at large.
I have been at a large company for the last 4 years as my first and only developer job, because of this, I've gained a lot of weird niche knowledge, and missed out on working on new tech and ground-up projects. So I've recently starting putting real effort into learning things I should have learned 3 years ago lol. I'm excited to learn and share!
Hey there!
Hey everyone. i’m Harris and i’m a senior full stack developer. I’m based in London and currently working for a FX company.
I love writing blogs about my things i’ve learned during my coding journey. Please come and say hi and really looking forward to meet awesome new people.
Hi Devs

I love rollerblading so much, I try to wake up at 5 am to skate. If I can't wake up early I will randomly skate at 1 am on the weekends, or anytime when the sun doesn't burn as much :P (I live in Miami, the sun will cook you!!)
Hello everyone
Hope everyone are safe with family.
I am very excited to meet all technical people around the world and upgrade myself to the new technologies.
Lets build and take the community to next level of learning platform
Hi everyone, Divyansh here. I am a software engineer interested in the general software design and coding stuff. Have been in the industry for not so long. Excited to be the part of the community. Any leads on how to make the most out it?
Hey there, I'm Lucas! In love with copyleft and software engineering since my first semester in university. I aim to assist communities in solving problems the best way I can, even if little by little.
Admittedly, I have a ”thing” for low-level programming and operational systems inner workings, as well as distributed systems. At the moment I’m having a blast using Golang to develop Kubernetes Operators. Also having a great (and challenging) time reading “Domain Driven Development”, by Eric Evans.
Other than that, I’m a 23 years old guy passionate about music who is going through a chess phase (is it still a phase after 2 years?).
The main project I'm currently working on is a community Nexus Operator for Kubernetes and Openshift.
Looking forward to learning stuff with you all and hoping to be able teach a thing or two! :-D
Hi I am Turloch. I am an experienced Java developer at Oracle. I am a newbie on the extra stuff (compiling up third parties - current temporary issue with Kotlin jetbrains annotations 13) and side project is learning REACT/Javascript. Married (son born 2006). Born on UNIX epoch 1st Jan 1970. Catch you in the forums! Turloch
Hello! I am Otso. I am software engineer, freelancer, student and Apple-hater from Finland. I have got some skills like C/C++, Java, Javascript and currently learning PHP. I make software for Linux, and sometimes Windows.
I really want to get into community, and help communities to grow bigger and better.
Hello and welcome!😊
Hello devs!! I've been wanting to start contributing to open source projects or fix bugs for awhile, and have only done some shallow research here and there. I'd like to surround myself with other devs and like-minded people who are keen to problem solve, I think it'll help motivate me to do more research on projects!!
In the future I'd love to work for a non profit and feel as if my work is more meaningful. For now I am still in the early stages of building my career (2 years as a SE). I prefer backend languages like Golang, but work in c# for work. Im familiar with python, elixir, some Java etc. Mainly I have dabbled in a lot but am a quick study (as I think most devs are) so new languages/frameworks have never frightened me.
I will probably be poking around this week and seeing what people are up to or working on to get some inspiration!! Also I have a strong advocacy and interest in supporting women in tech and poc. If anyone has open source projects their working on and need more bugs fixed, I'm happy to look into it 🙇
Hello devs 👋 I hope you're doing great and staying safe!
I'm Karim Elghamry. I'm a senior student enrolled in the bachelor's degree of Computer Engineering program at Nile University, Egypt. I've worked in various development fields such as Frontend/Backend and machine learning.
I've currently started developing my own OS from scratch using the x86 Assembly and C languages. I'm hoping to start a series of articles where I explain my process of OS development and share my experience with others.
I am so excited to chat and meet with the fantastic people in this community and I look forward to writing my first article soon! ❤︎❤︎
Hi,
I am umar, i am project manager at mobitsolutions a wordpress development agency

Thanks :-)
David is my name, in my journey to be a full-stack developer, currently learning Js, Node Js, React and its likes. Am here to develop and increase my capacity and be challenged to greater heights. Thanks.
Hiya, I'm Jared. I'm a GIS tech in local government. I'm getting more and more familiar with JS and Python as they're very handy when working with web apps and maps. I'm working on an app at the moment that maps all the recycling centers in our area. I like using code to make useful and contributable maps for the public good.
I've read a few articles here before, but actually Volkan Ozcelik brought me here. I'm a 17 y/o student from Turkey. I have plans on building a software engineering career in Germany. I am currently interested in back-end development and learning python. I'd always like to contribute to open source apps but I must build my programming knowledge to do so. Have a nice day...
Hey!
It's great to be a part of this community!
I'm a Front-end Developer from Poland, self-emlpoyeed since 5 yrs. Now I wanna make some life chanches, and looking for new job opportunities, collabs and connections.
Stay safe!
Hi, my name is Theo and I'm a master's student. I work mostly in Python but I'm also learning C++. My main interest is computer vision and learning all the prerequisites for understanding computer vision :P My introduction to programming was via GIS. I'm also a big Linux fan. And since we're showing cat pictures, meet Marcie!
Hello Dev.to community. I'm a newbie in online forums, so take easy with me okay? hahaha. I learn fast and share it faster than. I hope help you with anything and being help to. Have a nice day for everyone.
I know you experienced a saga of account sign in issues recently trying to regain access to an older DEV account... just to say you're awesome and incredibly patient, Maciej! 😀
As Sloan reminded me twice to make an introduction: Hello DEV!
I'm Ludwig -> LG to keep things short and snappy. I work as a freelancer in Amsterdam. I'm not a developer and sadly nor do I have a fancy bachelors degree in anything computer sciency but got enough spark to tackle programming for application scripting purposes. I'm an image manipulation/ 2d/ 3d graphics guy first using Python, Angular, and Vex which I use for building workflow tools for Photoshop, Houdini and many other 3D related apps. So far I found really great resources here and joining this community seems like a smart move on my learning path journey!
Code and algorithms help me produce nice visual work!
Hello everyone. My name is Conor. I am a noob who went delving into JavaScript about 7 weeks ago. I'm making a career transition from audio tech to dev world and have signed up to the CodeLand workshops happening next week.
I hope to learn a lot and maybe I can pass on some knowledge/experience to others later down the line.

Oddly, I still love solving problems I find interesting. I will confess that I do not fit the dev.to demographic; I stumbled on dev.to following Rust programming threads. Hi all,
I'm the founder of Kwola.io, a frontend testing tool that uses ai to unleash artificial users on webapps triggering functionality and finding errors.
I joined dev.to because I haven't engaged in community forums in a long time and want to get back to it. I am a total newb at coding directly myself (non-technical founder) but have worked in software companies for years i.e. blockchain, ai, and app development. I am building this company to be in service to programmers the world over and help them solve some of the challenges with modern agile / dev processes, most notably, testing. I've been learning a ton more about the nitty gritty by product managing everything but in particular figuring out how to optimize our infrastructure, and applying different approaches to ML. :)
Thanks for your acceptance. Am a beginner in freelance wish to know more
