Opera had speed dial in 2007. Chrome dropped it. Firefox never added it. After years without a good speed dial, I built one.
What Speed Dial Hub does
Replaces your Firefox new tab with a visual grid of shortcuts you define. Each tile has a custom icon, label, and URL. Tiles are grouped and drag-and-drop reorganizable.
Why thumbnail-based speed dials fail
Auto-generated thumbnails are based on what you visited recently — which is the wrong signal. You need permanent access to your tools, not rotation based on last week's browsing.
Manually defined tiles solve this. The grid stays stable.
