Alright, another one bites the dust. Or, doesn't bite the dust, because they're not paying. M365connect wants an "Internship AI & Automation Candidate Sourcing & Recruitment Workflow Design" person. Let's dissect this digital dumpster fire and see what we find.

  1. The Hook

They start strong with the buzzwords: "intelligent hiring ecosystems," "revolutionize talent discovery," "AI, automation tools, and creative workflows." Classic. They're painting a picture of groundbreaking innovation, but I smell a whole lot of glorified button-pushing. "Shape the sourcing process of tomorrow" - yeah, right. More like shape their spreadsheet for free.

  1. The Stack Analysis

Power Automate, Make.com, n8n, AI-assisted writing tools. So, a bunch of low-code/no-code platforms. Translation: They need someone to glue together existing services without having to pay a real developer. The "AI-assisted writing tools" is probably just ChatGPT being used to write generic outreach emails. Nothing groundbreaking here folks. Expect a lot of drag-and-drop and frustration.

  1. The Money

Ah, the elephant in the room. "Unpaid Internship / Opportunity for Full-Time." Classic bait-and-switch. "Opportunity" is the key word here. It means nothing. You might get a job, but you'll likely be discarded after they've squeezed every drop of free labor out of you. This is not an investment in your future; it's an exploitation of your desperation.

  1. Red Flags / Green Flags

Red Flags:

  • Unpaid internship. Huge red flag. Period.
  • Vague promises of "massive ownership" and "resume-defining experience." They're trying to compensate for the lack of actual compensation with empty promises.
  • Heavy reliance on low-code/no-code tools. Suggests a lack of actual technical expertise within the company.
  • "Direct exposure to AI-driven sourcing innovation" - they're probably just using existing AI tools.

Green Flags:

  • Exposure to automation tools could be useful for someone just starting out. But learning on your own dime is better.
  1. The Verdict

Run. Just run. Unless you are independently wealthy and looking for something to do, this is a hard pass. The "opportunity for full-time" is a carrot on a stick, and you're the donkey. Companies that truly value talent pay for it, especially when they're asking you to "engineer intelligent hiring ecosystems." Please. Don't fall for it.

Side Note: Tired of building "To-Do" apps? I'm opening up my private API for a $35,000 Hackathon. Build a tool, I buy the codebase. Simple as that. Check it out: https://www.jobsniper.pro/hackathon.html
