Alright, let's dissect this "Senior Full-Stack PHP Developer" role at OnTheGoSystems. Another day, another job posting promising the world while probably underpaying you. I ran this through the scraper this morning, so let's see what the deal is.

  1. The Hook

"$12M fully remote company behind WPML"? Okay, WordPress plugin company. "Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong technical judgment, the ability to dive deep into complex problems"? Sounds like they want a superhero who can also clean the office. "Using AI as a practical tool"? Oh boy, here we go.

  1. The Stack Analysis

They mention PHP, being a WordPress plugin. "Full-stack" these days is a pretty meaningless term, but I'm guessing it involves some combination of PHP for the backend, likely MySQL or MariaDB for the database, and then some JavaScript framework for the front end – probably React or Vue.js, given the WordPress ecosystem. The vague "AI" mention probably means they want you to know how to ask ChatGPT to write some code, which is, frankly, insulting to a "Senior" engineer.

  1. The Money

"$70,000 - $110,000 (Estimated, based on similar roles and company size)". "Estimated" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Translation: we haven't actually decided what to pay you, but we're hoping this range makes you click. For a Senior full-stack developer, especially one who needs to "dive deep into complex problems" and "make architectural decisions," that's a laughably low upper bound. Especially if they expect "ownership mindset to drive solutions from definition to production impact."

  1. Red Flags / Green Flags

Red Flags:

  • "Estimated" salary.
  • Vague "AI" requirement.
  • "Handle selected support cases that require a developer’s perspective, working directly with clients." = Doing support instead of coding.
  • $12M Revenue. Not exactly Google right?

Green Flags:

  • Fully remote (if you're into that).
  • "Profitable" (allegedly).
  • "Continuously improve what you build based on real usage" - suggests some degree of continuous integration/deployment.
  1. The Verdict

This reeks of underpaying and overworking. They want a senior engineer to do the job of three people while pretending AI is some kind of magical productivity booster. The salary, even at the high end, isn't competitive for a senior role with this level of responsibility. Approach with extreme caution and negotiate aggressively. Don't let the "fully remote" and "AI" buzzwords fool you.

This is just 1 of the top jobs I found today. See my morning Digest or check the full board at https://www.jobsniper.pro/?slug=full-stack-php-developer-onthegosystems-523c46f07996

Actually... since I've already cleaned this data, I might as well see what you guys can build with it. I've put up a $35,000 acquisition pool for the best tools. No fluff, just code: https://www.jobsniper.pro/hackathon.html
