Congrats to the GitHub Copilot CLI Challenge Winners!

The results are in! Thank you all so much for your patience as we reviewed over 400 submissions for this challenge.

We're going to jump right in because our full list of winners and runner-ups is quite long. Regardless of whether or not you were shortlisted, we hope you're proud of yourself for rising to the challenge.

Congratulations To…

@georgekobaidze built Metal Birds Watch, a tool that allows you to track planes overhead without ever leaving your terminal. It’s a perfect showcase of how the Copilot CLI can help turn a unique hobbyist idea into a functional reality.

@pengeszikra built RuStroke, a minimal vector drawing application. By utilizing GitHub Copilot CLI as a thinking partner and code modifier, Peter was able to build a complex geometry engine that can be plugged into other frontend or future drawing applications.

@cturner8 developed BinMate, an app for managing binary installations from GitHub releases. BinMate provides an easy way to install, manage, and switch between different versions of command-line tools which makes the lives of developers (especially Linux users) easier.

Thrilled to be a runner-up! 🎉 This was a genuinely fun challenge — building with GitHub Copilot CLI was a great experience and it's amazing to see all the creative submissions from the community. Congrats to all the winners and fellow runner-ups! 🙌

Quick question for the @DEVteam — could you point me in the right direction for collecting the runner-up prize? I haven't received any communication yet. Thanks! 😊

Metal Birds Watch is such a neat idea — tracking planes from the terminal is the kind of project that makes CLI tools fun again. 400+ submissions is wild for a CLI-focused challenge.
