Part of what lead me here as a content creator was my hobby of podcasting which started in 2004. I'm one of the first 50 podcasters ever and currently have three podcasts in production (one for work and two for fun.) I'm the co-author of Podcasting For Dummies. My podcasting hobby turned into a pet project at ServiceNow in 2013 which is now the most successful webinar in the company.
I'm a bit of a Unix geek since 1986, enjoy the occasional pet project involving Raspberry Pis, Arduinos, and other "maker" style projects.
I come from a family of nine kids. I'm married to my college sweetheart for 35 years. I'm the father of two beautiful and very smart daughters who are now grown and have terrific husbands of their own. I love traveling, Star Trek, and getting together with friends.

What’s good DEV community, my name is Angel. I just recently started my coding career. Matter of fact first day of class will be tomorrow 12/11/23. I’m complete newbie and I’m getting into coding to simply get myself in a position to work remote to be home more often for my three kids. My wife passed away 9/24/23 and loosing her has made it more necessary for me to find a way to get my kids to school and other activities without needing to rely to much on family members. Loosing my wife has been tragic but I’m truly grateful for the opportunities I will be given once I learn this new skill.

Slim ShadyLucas, 27, brazilian and still living here. I first started coding as soon as puberty hit me, so I tried to make a few games in the next few years after, because I wanted to create games since I played Sonic The Hedgehog as a child. After a long list of failures, I thought I was a different kind of dumb and gave up, pointing my attention exclusively towards learning music. Although I never finished any game I started, I became a pretty decent musician.I could write a lot of stuff here about what happened between that and now (I actually did, but erased it), but let's focus on the necessary parts for now.
In the pandemics, I lost my job at a restaurant and was trying to find something to make money. I wanted to work with something I truly liked, so I started looking for options. Honestly, there wasn't much, and after throwing some ideas away, I thought it would be nice to code again. And then I came back to coding, but now as a web developer.
Nowadays, I still work as a web developer, but I want to go back to making games. So, mostly of the stuff I intend to share here is about experiment with game development. As for what I expect to find, I'm looking forward for any good advice you can give me on development in general, cause I believe that almost any knowledge can be transferred to another contexts.

I am growingwings, I work in IT and although my job does not demand it, I try to focus most of my downtime on coding and learning about coding. I really love tinkering with code and find it an extremely useful skill to have.
My favourite language so far is Python since it is very easy to use, very powerful and there is a huge community behind it.
