Hey all. Another week, another welcome thread!
Speaking of, welcome to DEV! As mention in a few welcome threads before, I am planning on introducing myself on Welcome Thread v400! I made a promise to @javz that I will formally introduced myself on that thread. Look forward to it :D
In any case, what brings you to DEV? Any questions? Feel free to review the Guide I made for DEV for all audiences :D

Hi there 👋
I am a BS Software Engineering student started building her career about frontend web development and building responsive websites. Actively developing practical skills through personal projects and continuous learning.
Can someone guide me through my career? I will appreciate it.
Hi DEV! I'm Victor, a CSE student in Hyderabad. I build AI agents where the risky decisions live in plain code and the model does the explaining: a touch-free maintenance copilot, a bid-compliance checker for Smart India Hackathon, and a tool that proves bank statements against their own running balance. Here to write up what actually broke while building them.
Hi everyone! 👋 I'm Manikandan, a software developer interested in Java, AI/ML, Data Engineering, and Cloud technologies. 🚀 I enjoy learning, building projects, and sharing technical knowledge. Excited to connect and learn from this amazing community! 😊
Hey all 👋
I’m Lightman, an engineer in Seattle. I’ve spent 8 years bouncing between startups, from angel to Series B, and finally decided to build my own thing.
Currently working on Hunicode.ai - a place to practice AI coding interviews. I built it because I needed somewhere to collect the AI coding interview questions I’d come across and practice them myself. Figured it might help anyone in the same boat.
Looking forward to being part of this community and sharing what I’ve learned!
YOO EVERYONE, hope yall are having a great week...so far.
Im Ashar, an IBDP graduate from Pakistan spending my gap year building complex systems from first principles. I don't want to treat math and AI libraries as black boxes. I want to build the engine. MUEHEHEHEHE 😊
Here is what I’m documenting on DEV:
The Math Engine: Writing a custom C++ linear algebra library from scratch (cache-blocked multiplication, complex numbers, eigenvalues).
The Simulator: Using my own math engine to build a state-vector quantum circuit simulator, validated against Qiskit.
The Security: Containerizing the simulator and building a secure CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions, cppcheck, and Trivy.
I’ll be writing about C++ numerics, quantum computing, and DevOps. I'm just starting out and have a lot to learn, though I have always been inclined towards Quantum Computing and research, If you 🫵🏼 love deep dives into how things work under the hood, we can connect :>
Welcome @asharali. Building the engine yourself is the best way to learn it. I started with assembly and C too, and now work in C++ on drilling robots. Looking forward to the cache-blocking post.
Hello, I'm a game developer. I've been told by my uncle to join this website for a very long time like probably from 2022 but I finally caved in and make one to share my journey. I'm a tech artist and just doing something to not get bored, that's all

Hey everyone! 👋
I'm a Computer Engineering student from Brazil 🇧🇷 with an interest in backend development and building practical solutions with technology.
I've been working with technologies like TypeScript, Next.js, React, and PostgreSQL, and I'm always looking for opportunities to learn new things and improve my skills.
Recently, I've been developing AquaSmart, an academic project focused on sustainability that aims to monitor water and energy consumption during showers.
I'm joining DEV to learn from other developers, share my experiences, discover new ideas, and connect with people from the community.

Hey! Data Science undergrad wrapping up my degree while building out ColdCase Tech (an automated cybersecurity and incident intelligence portal using Hugo and Python pipelines).
Always awesome to connect with fellow builders and developers here. If anyone is playing around with automated content workflows, static site generators, or threat intel APIs, hit me up—would love to chat shop! 👋
Hey! 👋 Solo builder here. While everyone's chasing the AI app hype, I'm taking a different route: using Next.js & AI tools to rebuild a very traditional brick-and-mortar industry (Textile & Apparel Sourcing).
Currently building KeqiaoGuide to solve real-world supply chain friction. Excited to be part of the community!
Welcome! Good to see someone building for a traditional industry. I build software for drilling robots, so I like these real-world problems. What is the biggest friction in sourcing that you are solving first?
Hey everyone! 👋
