My name is Shawn Reisner and I'm a full-stack JavaScript expert. When I was learning JavaScript a number of years ago I read an article, maybe posted by @thepracticaldev or @bendhalpern, on how they made dev.to so fast. I've stopped by a few times since and decided to create an account a few weeks ago and start writing some tidbits of what I know to give back to my community.
My favorite weekend activity is my Saturday work sesh at Horizon Line Coffee in Des Moines, IA, my hometown! It's the most productive 8 hours of my entire week.
You, reading this, yes, you, check out my article titled A Quick, Practical Use Case for ES6 Generators, and if you like it, give me a follow! Or at least a heart. You can spare one measly heart, right?
Hello! 🤛
What up what up! 🤜
Hello!!
Hello and welcome!
Hey Shawn! Here's a question for you. What inspired you to become a full stack JavaScript developer? Why not some other language?
hi, I am Winnie Akello from Uganda, Africa.I am in college studying a non-tech related course but i love to code. i am currently teaching myself how to program in python.what brought me here is,i want to learn everything code and interact with the community.I believe i will find this here.
Hello Winnie, I've similar background with you, still in college but really love to code. I'm Nigerian and studying a pure science course. I started coding this year picking up javascript in bits for use in browser env and nodejs.
I hope you enjoy your time here.
Most definitely...thank you so much for reviewing my thread and am so glad that we identify on the same. i am looking forward to getting the best out of this!
awn!me too.
Are you into any beginner project yet? or you are just getting a hold of the language...?

"\ /"
_/ _...................................salam.
yessss, yes! There's this project that i am currently working on. Its my first ever and super interesting already. Begun this week!
oh really? tell me about it.
Hi, I am Sung 😁
a software developer from NYC 🍎.
✒️ I signed up last year but not sure what brought me here due to lack of 1/2 year activity 😅😝
📚 Currently learning GatsbyJS & Styled Components.
But planning to learn Docker, PWA (Progressive Web Apps) & Elixir.
(I've been a .NET developer and want to focus more on front-end)
😂 Fun fact? (more like hobbies)
I like manga, anime (<-- I will list if anyone's interested), Japanese light novels (translated in Korean) & online Korean fantasy novels (Munpia).
I used to collect figures but stopped for financial reasons.
During weekends, I read, write a blog & code and catch up with Korean variety TV 📺 shows (Running Man, 2 days 1 night, I live Alone, etc).
Elixir developer here. In fact I just dived into it few months ago and fell in love with the language. I'm currently developing my first project.
If there's a way I could be helpful to you, let me know.
Thank you Juan.
Are there any communities (slack, forum, etc) that might help?
and I'd love to check out should you were to write about Elixir and you experience with it so far 😉
You should look at the ElixirForum (elixirforum.com). Also, I'd suggest you join the ElixirLang channel on slack (elixir-slackin.herokuapp.com/). In there you'll find topics both for begginers and advanced coders. Also, you could follow me on twitter (@JPYamamoto9), I usually post interesting articles every one or two days from the elixir community.
Spanish is my first language, but I'm looking forward writing my first article in english about elixir one of these days, I'll let you know as soon as I do.
Any help you need understanding Elixir concepts don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you so much, Juan for the resources mentioned 🙇
I've recently purchased Programming Elixir by Dave Thomas and hope to get started with it soon.
And I will keep monitoring your twitter for the update & looking forward to your articles :)
That's an excellent book. Great purchase. Also, you should read Metaprogramming Elixir once you finish.

Coffee, code and motorcycles. Sounds great!
Hello name is Devon I would like to call myself Automation Engineer/Cloud Architect vs DevOps Engineer as I think the term is over used. I have a background in Java Development but I would not call myself a Java Developer but my focus is to become better at Node.js and Golang ..
Hey Devon,Could you tell me what path you folloed to become Cloud Architect?
Hi, guys!
I'm appreciated you cut me in!
I'm a front-end developer from Ukraine. In general, I have a knowledge and experience in the maintainable CSS and OOP JavaScript.
Now I am working on the project by using Angular. So, that's why I interested in this framework. Also, I want to improve my skills in the animations by using SVG or Canvas.
In my free time, I write the songs and play the guitar. But the most beautiful time I spend with my girlfriend by playing the table games or walking through the downtown or sea. I have a cat. She is very clever and scheming ... as my girlfriend =)
What is the best place in your city that you can recommend to take inspiration from?
Hey all!
My name is George Offley and I am a software developer currently working for a manufacturing company. A while ago I came across dev.to and followed Ben on twitter and decided I really liked his platform. So now any blog posts I write are written on here first.
For work I'm learning C#. In my off time I am learning CG art and animation, C and advanced principles of Python and software development. I'm also pursuing a degree in Comp Sci while I work as a software developer. I also like playing guitar.
My favorite activity for the weekend could be anything. I suppose spending time with the family is my favorite though.

Hi,
I am Sameer .
Primarily, I make machines.
I switched to fossil[1] since acquisition of Github, but scripts I use to organize and process my code are still there. Some cut and dry , some original, some buggy.

Hi! I'm Rachel! I'm from New Jersey, USA. I am currently a Grow With Google Scholarship student at Udacity in the Front End Nanodegree program. I hope to meet people, learn stuff, and teach stuff while I'm here :)
Welcome
Welcome!
Hi Rachel! Front End Nanodegree sounds cool! I was recommended to do Front end work because of my creativity.
What made you interested in front end development?
-Renee :)
I'm actually interested in web dev in general- front and back end. The opportunity in Front End came to me, so I decided to stick with it. I do really like being able to see (and show off, lol), what you are doing and making, which is much harder with back end.
Also- all the courses for the Nanodegree are actually available for free (minus support and such), if you are interested in learning more at Udacity :)
That's great advice! I'll look into Udacity. I take courses on Pluralsight. If you are looking for in-depth, easy to follow tutorials with complete explanations of a specific subject, it's a great site for that! They offer courses on many different subjects as well.
Good luck with your Dev journey! :)
-Renee
Hello everybody, I'm Tycho.
I'm a second year application development (mainly web things like PHP, Databases and HTML/CSS/JS) student from The Netherlands.
I learned about this website when someone sent me the link to one of the articles on this site. And after reading some more articles on this site, I decided to create a account.
My favorite weekend activities are playing video games, watching YouTube, coding for main projects or side projects I came up with and tinkering with electronics.
Hey folks! I'm Dexter. I write software using the Microsoft stack (.NET/.NET Core) and anything extra tools that get the job done. Also very interested and active in cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, economics and philosophy.
Hi Y'all!
I am Santhosh--a Marketing Executive. I fell in love with programming while doing a small project for my University on Steganography. Following "Vaidehi Joshi" led me here to dev.to--I too am trying to learn computer science from scratch. I never ever wanted to get into the field of marketin--as I wanted to become a programmer fresh out of college. But, just to have a clear perspective did some explorations for almost 3 years, then decided that marketing would be my best carrier choice and that programming would help me to be unique marketing executive. Now, trying to become a unique marketing persona, sprinkled with a lavish spread of programming.
Being a part of my church's 'Sound' team is one of my favorite weekend activities, along with eating "Special Mutton Biryani" & Playing Tennis!
Welcome aboard!
Thank you!
My name is Matias, I'm a software developer from Paraguay (South America). I've been writing software for around 15 years now (got involved very early, as a kid).
I currently work on Tyk, an open source API gateway that's written in Golang.
I'm also learning Rust and TypeScript to collaborate with the Deno project. As a side project I've ported some of the Deno code to Rust.
My other side project is go-dotnet, a binding generator that makes interoperability between Go and .NET easier. It's still pretty much a prototype, currently targeting .NET Core.
I'm trying to improve my writing/speaking skills, for this reason I'm planning to write technical articles in the next months and also speak at more conferences (last year was pretty active, I spoke in four different countries!).
Would love to be in touch with other developers, if you ever come to South America, feel free to ping me, you will find my details on GitHub :)
Welcome aboard! Looking forward to reading your articles!
Hi, my name is Jake and I'm a web designer & front end developer. I really love vue.js and it has changed the way I make websites. I mostly work with Javascript, PHP, HTML, and CSS. I mostly work on ecommerce websites, listen to podcasts & KCRW 89.9, and hang out with my family. Visit my website at jake101.com and add me on here :)
My name is Reg Walker, I'm a DBA, certified AWS solution architect and javascript developer. To learn more about me checkout my LinkedIn profile linkedin.com/in/walkerreginald/. I'm a lifelong learning and enjoy being surprised by new knowledge.
Hello All,
My name is Leon and I'm a pretend fullstack Javascript developer. I say pretend because I often find myself not really knowing what I'm doing. I started learning to code about 2 years ago, I attended a bootcamp and failed...twice. The first time, I was doing okay until midway where I was hit by meningitis and had to miss the end of the bootcamp because i was hospitalized and needed time to recover from it. They were nice enough to re-insert me into the next bootcamp available. I still failed.
So I've decided to learn to code by myself, I picked JS because I bought into the hype that it's great and all. I went from tutorials to tutorials, and then I read about Tutorial Heaven, and then I read about JavaScript Fatigue. Great!!!!!! haha
I'm sorry if I sound like a downer, but right now I'm trying to write a very simple application for my portfolio and I feel like I can't even do it. I'm tempted to load one of those udemy course again and go through it, but I know that's not the route I should be taking. It's going to take too much time too. I could've taken the time writing this post to think more deeply about how I should tackle my project, but heck, this feels relieving.
Hope y'all have a good day!
Welcome to dev.to
Do reach out to people here and ask any help u need on coding.
Ask others or read about their first time learning to code experience.
Practice and patience was my motto when I try to learn something new. I remember learning object oriented programming. Couldn't get my head around it. Was thinking why can't we just do it the C way. This was in high school and felt like coding is not for me. But with more practice reading and moreover patience I was able to to embrace it.
Let me know if I can be of anymore help.
Im sure others here will be ready to offer some help as well. So reach out .
Happy coding.
Hello 👋 I'm Joe, Student program manager at GitHub Education. I work mostly on the GitHub Campus Experts program, helping students build inclusive communities on campuses around the world. As a dev, I'm mainly into statically typed FP languages such as Haskell, but am increasingly accepting I need to do Javascript 😅
Using Wordpress to blog, with integration into an existing website, and the use of React API is what brought me here. Love the info in this post: dev.to/jchiatt/headless-wordpress-...
Hi! My name is Kelsey Huse. I'm originally from Oklahoma but just moved to New York City for the summer to teach a program for Girls Who Code. I've been a freelance developer for the past year, and prior to that worked as a healthcare IT consultant for 5 years. I learned to code a bit in college and am glad to have finally made a career of it!
In my professional work I have used Cordova with Angular 1, Firebase, Node.js, React, and Gatsby (love). I am currently building an AR project in React Native and learning Three.js so that I can do 3D modeling in Javascript. I'm also interested in Machine Learning, Flutter, and TDD.
On the weekends, you can find me exploring in NYC: biking and listening to music, running in Central Park, reading at a bar with a nice beer, or at a museum. I love meeting new people and I love code!
Hi Kelsey! I would love to get to know more about "Girls Who Code" ... I'm very happy for all the girls that are starting to join school here in Costa Rica in our beloved area of study... I remember when I started school there was hardly like 1 girl per class, but now, 7 and a half years later, there's a lot more girls every year working hard to become engineers, and that makes me very happy! :)
Thanks for commenting :) That's great progress!! Feel free to follow me and DM me if you want more info on Girls Who Code.
Hey y'all! On weekends, you'll probably find me asleep. 🙃
Well, I also try to get some exercise in and spend time with people I care about. But also taking care of myself :)
My name is Shaun Collins and I have been coding for the last three years. My other interests are chess, rugby union and rock climbing. For the last few months, I have been getting into React building several apps with it, I think it is a great JS library but I have run into a snag on my latest project, I am finding it difficult to find a way to incorporate PayPal, if anyone has any suggestions it would make my day!
Hello, I am Bogdan from Romania. I just finished University and working as a System Test Engineer, and wanting to change to a development job.
The need to learn and read all kind of dev news brought me here.
My favorite weekend activity would be going out for beer with my friends :).
Welcome! Let me know if you have any questions about becoming a developer.
Will do, thank you :).

Hey everyone! My name is Tae'lur Alexis and I'm a self-taught Front-End Developer. I've been learning to code for almost a year. For me the best part of building an application is executing a beautiful user experience. I am in love with gradients and fonts lol.
At the moment, I am building an app centered around selling a beauty monthly subscription with React, Node, MongoDB and have been learning Google OAuth. My comfort zone is front-end and I am definitely am seeking more opportunities to dive in the backend. I think that's why I've stuck with coding more than anything. I'm always tweeting my daily progress as a developer on Twitter (@taeluralexis ). If you want to check out my portfolio site, it's taeluralexis.com <3
Things I know: JavaScript, React, WordPress, Vue, AngularJS, NodeJS, MongoDB, a bit of PHP
📚 Things I want to learn: NextJS & Styled Components, GraphQL, some application security (I have a deep interest in fintech and am curious about cybersecurity)
A fun fact about me is that I'm a night owl. My creativity is fueled at night and so I sleep with my laptop basically next to me lol. I came across dev.to just an hour ago from posting this (4 a.m.)
Glad you are here!! :)
Welcome :) Look forward to your contributions :)
Hi, I'm Hardik from India. I'm Solution Architect and working in IoT and predictive insights space.

Now I'm working on the app named GRAFFITY - AR Video Chat and focusing on ARKit.
I started to learn English recently, so I'll check code's information in the world.
Thank you.
Hey all, I'm relatively new to coding and looking to become a full stack developer with the interest of building tools where I can to help people who may not consider and alternative to what they may be doing. Looking forward to the learning. Cheers!
Hi, my name is Yusuf Omotoso from Nigeria. I am a computer science student interested in Front-end Development. I recently read an article here by sarah_chima which i saw the link via twitter, and that gave me an interest to reading more from here. I will like to end my 2018 as an intermediate front-end developer if not a pro in front-end development.
Thank you.
Welcome Yusuf!
My name is Abhinav Sharma and I am a full stack web developer. I was reading the Go lang article written my @rhymes and liked the UI. Started exploring and thought maybe I can write about the problems I encounter too. I will read some articles though before jotting down my own experience.
I have been working as a developer for about 3.5 years now and have a keen interest in this field. On weekends I usually spend time playing guitar or watching series/movies.
Yes please, contribute :-)
Welcome to dev.to!
Hi,I am Dharan Aditya.
I am a electronics undergraduate and Android Developer.
Basically i love building things. Things that are cool. I found android as platform to build cool stuff and reach large Community of people.
Fun Fact is I read hardware and write software.
Hi, welcome! I think electronics is one of the best careers to connect with computation and coding in general terms... they are meant to be :D
Hi, I'm Sarah. Three years ago, post college graduation, I made the switch from veterinary medicine to software development. Given my family history in tech, I guess I was always destined to be a part of this community no matter how hard I tried to deny. At last, here I am.
5 months ago someone at my current job sent an article from dev.to. It has been my favorite site to scroll through while riding the train. I want to give back to the community and support others the way these articles have helped me. @aspittel posted an article about algorithms that I really enjoyed and then I saw her personal website - wow! So fun, creative, inspiring.
I'm on a journey of creating my own personal brand, Downward-Facing Tech (Downwardfacingtech.com), under the alias Tech-Yogi. I am constantly learning about new things in both tech and general well-being, which I think a lot of people in this industry can benefit from. I have a lot to learn in the dev world, and excited to share experiences and learn from others on dev.to.
I was brought into this land as a backend developer focused on C#, .Net, Entity Framework, MVC. After crossing the seas and expanding my horizons, I am currently a full-stack developer, dabbling/drowning/flourishing in JavaScript/React and all things UI. I am interested in strengthening my front-end skills with React and getting some experience with Elixir and NodeJs... and I need a lot of help solving interview algorithm problems.
Ahh thank you so much for reading!!! Welcome! If you are interested, I'm posting code challenges every day on my Twitter and people have the coolest answers that we all discuss -- getting to see Clojure and bitwise operators today!
Welcome!
I am Josh Reighley. I do training and technical support for accounting software on the IBMi AS400 platform.
I have been learning Clojure for the last 3-4 years, and write a lot of tooling to make my job easier. When a customer calls rather than going through 7 or 8 troubleshooting steps, I build a web page that runs my whole troubleshooting tree concurrently and reports back with the highlighted results.
I originally learned Visual Basic (back in college in the late 90's), and had a fairly successful small business for a while selling my programs. I have always been able to pick up any language and accomplish what I needed to accomplish (usually hacks like I described above) but I was always very pleased to stop thinking about code when I was done. Clojure is the first language that I could not put down. The more I use it, the more I want to code.
Hello everyone!!!
My name is Kartik Shetti and am from India.I am an Android beginner and having lots of interest to learn coding and network security.
Recently got introduced to dev.to following Facebook posts and blogs.Looking forward to making my work productive with the help of my newfound community at dev.to
Hello all. I'm Cristian from Romania. I love building applications and diving into new or cool programming languages. I am living for java, but got to work with various stuff along the way like Kotlin, Ruby, Python and the three C's. I also love dogs, especially my own dog, Capy. So I can't wait to read stuff from all you guys, and hopefully I will manage to write something off my own, so fingers crossed. Cheers!
My name is Cassiano Simas. I'm majoring for information systems at the Federal University of Rio Grande(Brazil). I'm taking my first baby steps towards software development and data analysis. At the moment I'm researching the NetCDF (unidata.ucar.edu).
I'm currently struggling on learning C, Python, Java and R for implementing the common data file in order to facilitate the creation of new nc files for the scientific community as well as backing up old physical archives of research into nc files.
This is the first time I've ever felt truly motivated to start working on a big project though I see that I still have a long journey to become a good, decent(maybe an expert) programmer. This is how I ended up here, I'm searching for mentors and guidance to keep growing as a developer and a researcher.
My name is Vineeth Sathish, I'm a Ruby developer who can also code some JS and Clojure.
I'm from Bangalore, residing in Berlin. Hit me up if you want to hangout and drink some Beer.
One of dev.to posts on twitter got me to sign up on the website.
I'm trying to read Zen and the art of Motorcycle maintenance, see how that can be made to fit into my thinking process of programming.
I like to sit in the nice parks here in Berlin during the weekends.
Hey everyone! I'm Navneet from India and I'm learning to be a JavaScript developer. I'm a non-CS graduate and currently getting myself some work experience. I want to learn about the international standards which can help me get a remote job. So, I'll be reading most of the blogs here.
Hi everyone I'm Julia, I program in Java and Python and have been doing GUI programming in Swing and Javafx. Learning blockchain dev on my own time and went from self taught programmer to second year in University. I came here looking for opportunities.
Hey everyone,
My name is Patrick Lafferty and I'm a software developer from Toronto. By day I focus on front-end webdev work (JavaScript et al.), but by night I focus on low-level systems design and write an OS for fun. I enjoy exploring the conceptual and theoretical paths, and when faced with a problem taking the one less travelled by. I love to code, learn and be exposed to new ways of seing problems, so I'm excited to join this community and share what I know.
Hi, nice to meet you! I remember back in school when I had to finish and open source OS call NachOS... It was made for academic purposes and it's online available to download and work on it... So in my OS class we had to make it work in order to pass!! That was a fun time haha, maybe you can try it sometime... It's made in C! :)
Hi all - Ian from the UK here. I’m a dev, PM, Scrum Master and various other things. I wrote Textise, also the strategy RPG Goblin Harvest and some ZX Spectrum games (in Medieval times).
Sometimes I love computers, sometimes I don’t.
Hello, my name is Nabil. Currently, I'm pursuing my studies in the field of Ai and Machine Learning. I encountered this website while I was searching for learning material for my subjects and turns out this website was very helpful. It contains a lot of information, from one related to my studies to something that I like to read such as people experience, tips and more. Hope I could contribute and become a part of this community.
My name is Jaideep, I'm a BE Drupal Developer(PHP). I am also very much interested in Javascript, and have worked in Angular. Like most of the Devs, I am also curious about technology. But apart from that, I am also interested in best practices, experiments, etc...
This tweet brought me here : twitter.com/ThePracticalDev/status...
:)
Hi I'm Shazni Shiraz I'm still in college and I'm still a slow coder but I'm trying my best to work my way out and I've come across (C++,Java,PHP,C#,R, Dart-Just started) and now I'm facing finals so working on a project so i just kept looking for some communities to get some help and i found this cool platform :D hope to meet some awesome coding friends.
I usually watch a lotta Tv shows(a lot ;D) and listen to a lot of music(specially when i code).
I'm so excited to be here and meet new people across the globe and get to know their coding experience etc.
Thank You :)
Hope everybody's having an amazing day.
Hi there, my name is Andrés Osante and I'm a beginner developer from Costa Rica. I am kind of in the middle of a dilemma since I both like Javascript and Java a lot. The web dev path seems to me as appealing as the Java development path. But I'm still too much of a beginner to know.
By now, I've done a couple of web apps where I register, modify, delete, search for, and list user data using a bit of Javascript for form validation, and a free MongoDB database for storage. Other than that, I've done some landing pages trying to implement things I learned in the @wesbos JavaScript 30 courses. I've also learned a lot from places like Codecademy, Pluralsight, and FreeCodeCamp, but I've made the classic mistake of spending my time learning and learning, and not doing enough. I plan to change that soon and I am currently making a list of projects to do by the end of September.
In Java, I'm currently writing small programs to really grasp the concept of object oriented programming. I first started doing simple stuff with simple core programming concepts, but now I have moved on to implementing other concepts such as inheritance, polymorphism, overriding and overloading etc.
I came across dev.to a couple of months ago browsing around for knowledge, and thought it may help in that aspect. I was right.
Lastly, my favorite weekend activity is surfing. Waves are beautiful here in CR, and there's some all year long.
My name is Jakub Jankiewicz and I'm Front-End developer from Poland. I was also working as Full-Stack developer with php but now I'm focuses at JavaScript and CSS. Hi, my name is Nesli, I think I am a mom of a future software developer who is at the age of 10 now, from İstanbul, Turkey. My daughter loves coding, so I am searching for the places who can help her in her early career to develop her abilities and guide us. She is now attending Apple coding courses also going to a summer camp about it. But there is no further opportunities here. If you can advise which course she would attend first or which way should I follow to support her, it would be perfect.

Hey all. My name is Dhaval Vyas and I am Front end developer. I have been reading a lot on Dev.to since last month. Mostly, I was coming here to read about #productivity posts for few minutes and ending up here more than I planned 😄. I really love coming back here again and again. 🙂
Currently, I am redeveloping my own website (dhavalvyas.me) with new front end tools and technologies and hoping to learn something new along the way.🤓
I have created my Todo list for 2018 and being part of a community is one of them. I also want to start writing blog post in near future.
My all time Fav weekend activity is hanging out with friends. Place doesn't matter. 🍻

Oh that's great to hear. Would love you to meet you in person if you visit Halifax. :)
Hi there people. I am Alban, but you can call me Bani for short. I've been into programming world ever since 2006 but barely could tag myself as an expert of any subfield of it. I indulge myself into learning new things, in this case I recently started to learn React, since I'm a JS lover so to speak. I'd like to share my thoughts and also hear from others in the broadspec of programming world, especially in JavaScript and it's future.
I haven't written any article (to satisfy the reader's need) but I'm eagerly looking forward to it. Thanks for reading this, much appreciated.
Tja!
I´m Erik and I´m starting with programming. I´ve done some small programs in c# and a whole game in GameMaker. I´m currently considering starting a career as programmer, because I think this is so much fun.
I like to waste my free time on videogames, both playing and, since I know programming, making them.
Welcome Erik!
I totally agree. You'll be hard-pressed to find something more fun than writing software for a living if you ask me.

Hi All, I am Nitin Sharma. I just went through a post about (1/28) AWS from @helenanders26 and it was so nice to see a lot of simple to understand articles for AWS learning.
I used to learn a lot around security and automation. I am fond of AWS cloud with a Python spirited soul. I usually blog around 4hathacker.in and continue my quests in core and cloud security with a lil interest in DevSecOps.
I am a strong believer of active learning, foodie and fitness lover with a lot of dreams to achieve in this life time.

Hi, I am Dallas. I am a DevOps engineer for a Japanese security firm. I found this site because of Paula's irssi's post and after some researching i thought it would be a nice place to join. Python is my language of choice but I do not get to use it at work. I prefer a linux workstation over mac or windows. I am by no means bothered by spelling (yours or mine) or proper punctuation.
Welcome aboard! Yea, I dig linux as well.
My name is Kingsley Victor, a junior software developer based in Nigeria. I don't consider myself a code god or an expert. I'm proficient in Java and Spring at a considerable extent. Recently got a hang of Express JS and hope to learn Angular 6, Ionic, NativeScript, Git and Linux. My recent project was a library management app leveraging Java and Spring. I admit I still have a lot to learn though..
PS: I don't have an job yet.. Once I get a hang of the entire MEAN stack, I might decide to work as a freelancer till I get called into the industry...
Hello, I'm Tan. My friend named Kopkap brought me here. I'm learning Jupyter notebook for a beginner of data science and how to use git and control workflow on GitHub by using the command line. Beginner Today, Expert Tomorrow.

Hi everyone! My name is Eve and I am a newbie web developer currently undertaking a coding and design boot camp. I'm putting my academic career on hold for a bit (I have an M.A. in History of Design) so that I can one day develop interactive museum and library sites and apps! That's the dream anyway.
So far I've learned mostly front-end stuff (HTML/CSS, Javascript, responsive design, Bootstrap) and right now I'm working on Ruby and Sass, trying to cram as many things into my brain as possible but also trying to take a break to let things gel. I love everything I've learned so far and am excited that I found a place to write about what I learn here - don't want my writing skills to get rusty! 📝
Welcome! I love the idea of the museum apps! Theres aren't enough apps that promote culture if you ask me
