Yeah, I know it's not a musical genre, but there are some songs that just seem to fit sunny days better than others. I'm thinking about those upbeat, feel-good tunes that act as the perfect soundtrack to a warm weather day. So, whatever kinda music you like to pop on for those days, I wanna hear it. Let's go! 😎
How we do
In this weekly series, folks can chime in and drop links to whatever it is they've been listening to recently + browse others suggestions. You can follow the suggested genre if you'd like, but don't feel confined to it; you're free to suggest whatever you wanna. 🙌
If you're interested in having other discussions about music, consider following the aptly named #music discussions organization.
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes. 🌞 Note: you can embed a link to your song using the following syntax {% embed https://... %}
. This should work for most common platforms!
Looking forward to listening to y'all's suggestions! 🎶

The Gorillaz are definitely crucial to my warm weather playlist... can't really explain why, but their cartoony, upbeat songs with zany, creepy undertones commonly soundtrack my sunshiny days.
I really love all their stuff, but the album Demon Days is probs what ends up on rotation the most for me.
"Dirty Harry" is one of my fave tunes... gotta love this music video for it:
I've also been digging Jon Hopkins recently... the song "Open Eye Signal" has been getting a lotta love from me.
It's almost like you got sunshine in a bag
Hahaha! Well done. 👏 👏
Haha, at my old job we use to have designated DJs when playing Spotify music through the speakers. Looking back now, blasting music out loud wasn't all that productive. I blasted my baroque music. I'm mainly classical until there is a major deadline. That's oddly where rock, metal (specifically in foreign languages) come in. Course, when it is heads down time, I just opt out of DJ mode and put on headphones.
Since Remi Wolf came out with her album Juno...... I quite literally can't think of a better summertime album.
Notable mention to the music videos from this album, my fav is the one for Liquor Store.
Holy crap! This is a lotta fun. 😀
Great music video, super cool song, and lots of sunny weather energy. Appreciate ya sharing!
I'm still listening to this track sometime since it released, but I haven't watched any minions movie yet.
Wow!! Diana Ross and Tame Impala — what a combo! I'm loving it. This makes me wanna dance. 🕺
So cool that Diana Ross is still making music. As a kid, I was obsessed with The Wiz, where Diana Ross played Dorothy alongside Michael Jackson's Scarecrow. Check out this scene from the movie where they perform the tune "Ease on Down the Road"
Power Metal bands usually, like Stratovarius, Angra and Helloween or Hard Rock bands like Van Halen and Motley Crue.
Rock on! 🤘
One of the ultimate laid back and chill summer tracks - enjoy the dreamy trombone.
Wow, how have I not heard this before? And oooo yeah, that trombone is oh so smooth... I can def imagine popping this on while laying out on a warm summer day.
I love putting on a tune like this and doing some people watching... I can imagine this would soundtrack that really well. 😀
Speaking of, I'm lovin' the music video concept here. That ones gonna stick with me for a bit!
Cesaria Evora
I have been listening to her beautiful songs for twenty years.
Just looked her up and found the following performance... wow, she's got such an amazing voice! Thanks for the suggestion, Rafael.
