QuackBuilds has shipped Sure Bet, a new app designed for couples. It functions as a daily prediction game where partners can test how well they know each other.
Each day, one partner is the subject of a question, generated by AI (Gemini), about themselves. This partner answers honestly. The other partner then predicts that answer. Predictions remain hidden until both inputs are received.
If the prediction is correct, a point is scored. If it's incorrect, a real-world forfeit is incurred by the predicting partner. These forfeits are tracked in a fairness ledger, with optional photo proof and winner confirmation. Examples of forfeits include cooking dinner or planning a date.
The app also calculates and displays a 'How Well You Know Each Other' percentage, which trends over time with milestones. Premium users can opt into anonymous leagues to see their percentile against other couples.
Sure Bet features a 'Board Game Parlor' aesthetic, with wood textures and game-piece colors. It is an installable PWA. The free tier offers 3 bets per week, basic scoring, and 7-day history. Sure Bet Premium provides unlimited bets, full history, forfeit proofs, leagues, and AI insights.
