I've recently shipped the Guided Hint Prompt for Python Exercises. This is a prompt template designed to help AI provide more effective assistance to Python learners.
The primary goal of this prompt is to guide an AI assistant to offer thoughtful, step-by-step questions rather than full, direct solutions. When a learner is stuck on a Python exercise, providing the complete answer often bypasses the learning process. This prompt aims to counteract that by encouraging the AI to break down the problem for the learner through guided questioning.
It's intended for anyone using AI to learn or teach Python, especially those who want to foster genuine problem-solving skills. If you're looking for a way to get more constructive, hint-based feedback from AI for your Python practice, this template provides a structured approach.
