Today, we're releasing Midnight, a 21+ adult party-game platform. The goal was to build a polished, browser-first experience for this category, addressing gaps we saw in existing options.
Midnight allows a host to sign in, open a room, and share a 4-letter code. Friends can join instantly from any phone using just a nickname; no app download or account creation is required. Per-room session tokens provide anonymous access.
The platform includes interactive mini-games, moving beyond simple text prompts. Current games are Hot Seat (answer a prompt, vote the funniest), Most Likely To (vote a player), and VIP Spin & Dare (digital bottle + dares). There's an opt-in, default-off spicy mode that introduces 21+ prompts, protected by an age gate. All content is filtered using AI safety measures to prevent explicit, illegal, or non-consensual material.
The system uses a server-authoritative phase machine and scoring, rather than client-side polling. Pricing is host-pays: only the host needs a VIP subscription, while players always join for free. The free host tier includes 2 games, supports up to 6 players, and displays ads. Midnight VIP is available for $7.99/month or $59.88/year, offering access to all games (including spicy content), support for up to 12 players, and an ad-free experience. One-time game packs can also be purchased for $3.99-$5.99.
